摘要： An optical connector cleaning tool includes a fitting portion (44) fitted in the first or second hole (36, 37) of a connection component (32) into which a compact dual core optical connector is fitted on one end side and a cleaning medium (45) projecting from the fitting portion (44). The fitting portion (44) is formed to have a shape by which the fitting portion (44) is fitted in the first or second hole (36, 37) in each of the first and second postures as postures shifted through 180° with respect to as the center the middle (P2) of a virtual straight line connecting the centers of the two ferrules when viewed from an axial direction of the compact dual core optical connector. The fitting portion (44) contacts one ferrule in a state in which the fitting portion (44) is set in the first posture. The fitting portion (44) contacts the other ferrule in a state in which the fitting portion (44) is set in the second posture. There can be provided an optical connector cleaning tool by which the connection end faces of the compact dual core optical connector having two ferrules in one housing can be cleaned.

摘要： An optical connector cleaning tool includes a cleaning tool main body, a feed-side bobbin, a cleaning head (cleaning portion), a winding-side bobbin, a moving body that moves at the time of cleaning, a feed mechanism that sends an unused cleaning medium in synchronism with the moving body, and a winding mechanism that drives the winding-side bobbin. The feed mechanism moves a turn-back portion at one point where the cleaning medium is turned back in a direction to separate from the winding-side bobbin. The winding mechanism includes a driving piece that engages with a rotation body of the winding-side bobbin. The driving piece slips with respect to the rotation body when a load to press engaging projections of the rotation body has reached a predetermined load.

摘要： An optical connector cleaning tool includes a tip (44) for cleaning in a distal end portion. The tip (44) has a distal end face (51) in which a delivery hole (53) and a winding hole (54) for a cleaning medium are formed, and has an outer circumferential surface (52). The distal end face (51) has a first inclined surface (56) and a second inclined surface (57) forming the distal end portion of the tip (44) into a mountain shape in cross section, and has a convex curved surface (58) for connecting them to the outer circumferential surface (52). The first inclined surface (56) crosses an axis of the tip (44), and inclines at an angle smaller than an inclination angle of a distal end face of an APC connector. The second inclined surface (57) is formed such that an offset line (61) (a ridgeline) at the distal end of the tip (44) is positioned between the axis of the tip (44) and the winding hole (54), and inclines at an angle equal to or larger than the inclination angle of the distal end face of the APC connector. The convex curved surface (58) inclines at an angle equal to or larger than the inclination angle of the distal end face of the APC connector. This makes it possible to provide an optical connector cleaning tool capable of properly cleaning both a PC connector and an APC connector without using a rotation mechanism for rotating a tip.
