    摘要: An architecture for a high bandwidth digital cross-connect switching system that is internally non-blocking, has a simpler layout, and employs a reduced number of logic gates. The high bandwidth digital cross-connect switching architecture comprises a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) cross-connect including M space/time switches. Each space/time switch includes an input bus, an output bus, N×W Flip-Flops (FFs) for storing input data, W N-by-N switches for sorting the data according to predetermined cross-connection requirements, and N×W FFs for storing output data, in which “N” corresponds to the number of input ports and the number of output ports in the N-by-N switch, and “W” corresponds to the width of each data word. Each N-by-N switch includes N×W N-to-1 selectors, and the M space/time switches include N×W M-to-1 selectors, thereby allowing an effective N×M-to-1 selection to be performed on the data words.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for installing auxiliary clip-on eyewear on conventional glasses. Auxiliary clip-on eyewear is comprised of three very simple clips that engage the frame on conventional eyewear to hold the auxiliary eyewear on the conventional frames without the need for any type of tensioning devices or using multiple clips. Outboard clips fit around the conventional frame circumjacent the temple blocks. A third tensioning clip, mounted on the auxiliary eyewear, fits beneath and engages the bridge on the conventional glasses. A downward force applied by the center bridge mounted clip maintains the outboard clips on the conventional frame. With the arrangement on the preset invention, an auxiliary lens frame having a design conforming to the conventional lens is nearly undetectable when mounted.

    摘要: Gas with entrained particles, such as high temperature and pressure gas from a pressurized circulating fluidized bed reactor, is filtered using a vessel having a gas inlet, cleaned gas outlet, and filtered particles outlet. A pulse of cleaning gas is periodically or intermittently directed to the filters to dislodge particles which have been filtered and collected on the filters. Shrouds, having tubular, parallelepiped, zig-zag, or honeycomb configurations, are provided surrounding relevant portions of the filters to prevent dislodged particles from being entrained in gas passing to other filters, and instead directing the dislodged particles toward the vessel particles outlet. The shroud walls may have openings in them which allow gas to be filtered to pass through them, but prevent dislodged particles from passing through the openings. The filters may be mounted in hollow tubular or parallelepiped ducts in such a way that the ducts have smooth outer walls, and the shrouds may be substantially concentric with the ducts. When individual cleaning gas pulsing devices are associated with filters, the shrouds may include separate impingement and material collecting portions.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a control system for a rock crusher which is adapted for use with Vertical Shaft Impact rock crusher which divides the rock it processes into a stream which is supplied to a central rotor and a stream which cascades past the rotor. The control system is used to control the ratio of material placed into the cascade and includes a processing means which is adapted to receive a throughput signal from at least one throughput sensor. The processing means is adapted to transmit at least one control signal to at least one control mechanism of the crasher, and at least one control signal or signals are transmitted to said control mechanism or mechanisms to adjust the amount of material entering the crusher rotor to provide a specific cascade ratio for the crusher in response to a variable throughput of material.

    摘要: A system for inflating e.g. a pair of lumbar support bags of a vehicle seat comprises two pumps each connected to a respective bag and controlled by a common electronic control system. The control system causes each bag to be inflated over a period of between 1 and 10 minutes, the inflation of one bag taking place while the other bag is deflated and vice versa to produce alternating pressure zones in the lumbar region. Inflation of each bag is produced by a multiplicity of individual spaced apart energizations of the associated pump. The duration and spacing of the energizations is variable to produce the desired complete inflation of a bag within the required period. In the preferred embodiment the duration of each energization is preset during manufacture of the system but the spacing of the energizations is under the control of the user of the seat to vary the duration of the inflate/deflate cycle.
