    Abstract: A sensitive membrane includes: a membrane body containing a sensitive material; and a carbon black contained in the membrane body. The membrane body is expandable when adsorbing an analyte. The carbon black has a dibutyl phthalate absorption number less than 100 cm3/100 g. This reduces the adsorption of water into gaps between carbon black particles and thereby reduces variations in the resistance value and sensitivity of the sensitive membrane with time.

    Abstract: A gas analyzing method includes obtaining, dividing, selecting, extracting, and analyzing. In the obtaining, signal is obtained from a sensor exposed to sample gas under a condition where molecules contained in the sample gas is more readily adsorbed to the sensor in a second period than in a first period and a third period in a measurement period for the exposure. In the dividing, each of the second and third periods is divided into divided sections. In the selecting, an extraction section is selected from a part of the divided sections. In the extracting, feature of the signal in the extraction section is extracted. In the analyzing, analysis on the molecules contained in the sample gas is performed based on the extracted feature among features of the signal in the measurement period, and a result of the analysis is outputted.

    Abstract: An air quality determination method including a temperature control step, an acquisition step, a determination step, and an output step. The temperature control step includes controlling a temperature of a sensitive unit exposed to a sample gas to cause the temperature of the sensitive unit to vary in a temperature variation pattern including at least one temperature rising period in which the temperature of the sensitive unit rises and at least one temperature falling period in which the temperature of the sensitive unit falls. The determination step includes determining, using a learned model to determine an air quality condition of the sample gas, the air quality condition of the sample gas based on a variation in the electrical characteristic value.     Abstract: A gas detection system includes a gas sensor, and a filter unit. The gas sensor is configured to detect detection target molecules. The filter unit is disposed at a reference gas supply passage. The reference gas supply passage connects a reference gas inlet port from which a reference gas is introduced, and a sensor chamber in which the gas sensor is housed. The filter unit includes at least a first filter configured to reduce the detection target molecules in the reference gas, and a second filter configured to reduce moisture in the reference gas. Each of the first filter and the second filter has a separation membrane including hollow fibers.
