Abstract: A method and system for establishing a Television Whitespace (TVWS) relay for public safety is presented. The method and system utilize a multi Radio Access Technology (multi-RAT) base station and a TVWS relay in communication with the multi-RAT base station. The TVWS relay provides a backhaul channel to an IP network in a public safety environment.
