Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may skip performance of base station identity code (BSIC) confirm and reconfirm procedure for a neighbor cell to conserve UE battery power. In such instances, the UE compares a serving cell signal metric to a dynamic threshold. The BSIC confirm and reconfirm procedure for the neighbor cell may be skipped when the serving cell signal metric is above the dynamic threshold.
