Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may obtain a set of one or more beam profiles, wherein each beam profile in the set of one or more beam profiles comprises the beam profile of a legitimate positioning reference signal (PRS) beam. The UE may determine a beam profile of a received PRS beam. The UE may determine a legitimacy of the received PRS beam based on a comparison of the beam profile of the received PRS beam to the set of one or more beam profiles from legitimate PRS beams.
