Abstract: A method for applying a beauty effect setting in an electronic device is provided. The method includes detecting, by the electronic device, user face from a current previewed frame in a viewfinder of a camera. Further, the method includes extracting, by the electronic device, a plurality of feature points from the detected user face. Further, the method includes determining, by the electronic device, at least one beauty ratio based on the plurality of extracted feature points. Further, the method includes superimposing, by the electronic device, the at least one beauty ratio with a predefined beauty ratio. Further, the method includes mapping, by the electronic device, the at least one superimposed beauty ratio to at least one camera beauty effect. Further, the method includes applying, by the electronic device, the beauty effect setting on the user face based on the at least one mapped camera beauty effect.

Abstract: Provided is a method for detecting duplicate audio content in an electronic device. The method includes receiving, by the electronic device, a plurality of audio content, decoding, by the electronic device, each of the audio content to extract a plurality of byte streams of each of the audio content and audio feature information, generating, by the electronic device, a unique signature for each of the audio content based on the plurality of byte streams of each of the audio content, and storing, by the electronic device, the unique signature of each of the audio content in the electronic device to identify duplicate audio content.

The method may comprise; obtaining a first image; selecting, based on comparing the first image with a plurality of second images, at least one third image from the plurality of second images, wherein the at least one third image is similar to the first image; identifying an identifier of an image group corresponding to the at least one third image; associating the first image with the identifier of the image group; and notifying, on the device, based on the identifier of the image group, existence of the at least one third image.
