    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a display area in which an image is displayed and a peripheral area disposed outside of the display area, and a touch sensor disposed on the display panel. The touch sensor includes a plurality of sensor electrodes formed in a repeated arrangement of sensor patterns that forms a touch active area, a plurality of sensor wirings connected to the sensor electrodes and disposed outside of the touch active area, and at least one insulating layer overlapping the display area and the peripheral area. At least a portion of the sensor electrodes is formed over the display area and the peripheral area.

    Abstract: A touch sensor includes first through third sensing areas, first through third sensing patterns respectively disposed in the first through third sensing areas, a sensing line disposed in a non-sensing area and electrically connected to the first sensing pattern, and a connection line disposed in the non-sensing area and disposed between the sensing line and the first sensing pattern. The connection line electrically connects the second and third sensing patterns. The touch sensor further includes a connection portion electrically connecting the sensing line and the first sensing pattern, a dummy line disposed between the sensing line and the connection line, a ground line disposed in the non-sensing area that transmits a ground voltage to the first to third sensing areas, and a bridge line electrically connecting the ground line and the dummy line.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display and a method for driving the same. The liquid crystal display includes: gate lines arranged in a row direction; data lines arranged in a column direction; and subpixels arranged in basic units of eight subpixels. Each subpixel is each connected to one of the gate lines and one of the data lines, and the subpixels are continuously arranged along a row and are arranged in a matrix. In the basic units, polarities between adjacent subpixels from a first subpixel to a fourth subpixel along the row are opposite to each other, polarities between adjacent subpixels from a fifth subpixel to an eighth subpixel along the row are opposite to each other, and polarities of the fourth subpixel and the fifth subpixel are the same.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a memory; a pixel unit including first pixels disposed with a first density in a first area and second pixels disposed with a second density smaller than the first density in a second area in contact with the first area; and a degradation compensator which updates degradation information stored in the memory, based on input grayscales for the first and second pixels, and changes the input grayscales to output grayscales, based on the degradation information. The degradation compensator stores the degradation information in the memory in a unit of block for the pixel unit. The memory stores only first degradation information for each of first blocks including only the first pixels, stores only second degradation information for each of second blocks including only the second pixels, and stores the first and second degradation information for each of third blocks including both the first and second pixels.
