Abstract: A display device is connected to a contents providing device via a network. The display device includes a display unit that displays contents; and a display controller that controls a contents display operation of the display unit. The display controller transmits a resolution control signal to the contents providing device, and receives contents data that is converted in response to the resolution control signal from the contents providing device.
