Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise: a communication circuit comprising multiple communication interfaces; a processor electrically connected to the multiple communication modules, and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: receive, from an external electronic device, information related to the external electronic device; select a communication interface to be used for tethering among the multiple communication interfaces, on the basis of at least a part of the received information; and establish a tethering connection with the external electronic device through the selected communication interface. Various embodiments are possible.
