Abstract: An air conditioner includes a cabinet including a front opening provided at a front surface thereof and a rear opening provided at a rear surface thereof; a heat exchanger provided inside the cabinet; a plurality of fans provided inside the cabinet and configured to allow air to pass through the heat exchanger; and a processor configured to control the plurality of fans so that in a cooling operation mode and a dehumidification operation mode, the plurality of fans are rotated in one direction so that the air is sucked through the rear opening, passes through the heat exchanger, and then is discharged through the front opening, and in an automatic cleaning operation mode, the plurality of fans are rotated in an opposite direction so that the air is sucked through the front opening, passes through the heat exchanger, and then is discharged through the rear opening.

Abstract: An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner includes a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant, an indoor heat exchanger in which heat exchange between indoor air and the refrigerant is performed, a discharge temperature sensor configured to measure a discharge temperature of air at which the heat exchange has been completed, an intake temperature sensor configured to measure an intake temperature of the indoor air drawn into the indoor heat exchanger, an inputter configured to receive a target temperature from a user, memory storing one or more computer programs, and one or more processors communicatively coupled the compressor, the indoor heat exchanger, the discharge temperature sensor, the intake temperature sensor, the inputter, and the memory, wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the air conditioner to adjust an operating frequency of the compressor by comparing the intake temperature and the target temperature, and control the compressor to reduce the operating frequency in response to the discharge temperature reaching a reference temperature.

Abstract: An air conditioner includes: a fan configured to discharge air cooled by a refrigerant; and at least one processor configured to receive a user input for setting an airflow volume of air to be discharged and a desired temperature, increase a frequency of the compressor to a first critical frequency and maintain the frequency of the compressor as the first critical frequency in response to determining that a temperature difference between an indoor temperature and a desired temperature exceeds the critical temperature difference while controlling the fan to discharge the air with the set airflow volume, determine whether an unsatisfactory condition has occurred, based on at least one cool air-conditioning sensation measurement item while maintaining the first critical frequency, and increase the frequency of the compressor to a second critical frequency to further decrease a current temperature of the air in response to determining that the unsatisfactory situation has occurred.
