Abstract: A method and an apparatus for magnifying or demagnifying a display in an electronic device are provided. A method for controlling display includes detecting at least one first touch, determining a first region according to the at least one first touch, determining whether an area of the first region changes, when the area of the first region is maintained, determining whether the first touch point resides in a display control region, and when the first touch point resides in the display control region, magnifying or demagnifying a display by considering a location change of the first touch point.
