Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a processor, a battery, and a wireless power transmission device, wherein the wireless power transmission device includes a power amplifier circuit including a switch circuit, a filter circuit, and a series resonant circuit, the power amplifier circuit being configured to convert direct current (DC) power received from the battery or a DC adapter into alternative current (AC) and to implement zero-voltage switching (ZVS), a power transmission circuit including a power transmission coil configured to transmit power received from the power amplifier circuit to outside, a matching circuit located between and connected to the power amplifier circuit and the power transmission circuit, the matching circuit being configured to match an impedance of the power amplifier circuit and the power transmission circuit, and a negative voltage detection circuit connected to the filter circuit of the power amplifier circuit and configured to detect a negative voltage generated in the filter circuit, and wherein the negative voltage detection circuit includes a voltage dividing circuit including a positive voltage power supply and a plurality of resistors, the voltage dividing circuit being configured to convert the negative voltage generated in the filter circuit of the power amplifier circuit into a positive voltage in a predetermined range, a voltage sensor configured to detect the positive voltage, and a low-pass filter located between and connected to the voltage dividing circuit and the voltage sensor.

Abstract: Provided is an electronic device including: a battery, a resonant circuit including a coil and a capacitor configured to wirelessly receive power, a rectifying circuit configured to rectify an alternating current power provided from the resonant circuit to a direct current power, a DC/DC converter configured to convert the direct current power provided from the rectifying circuit and to output the converted direct current power, a charging circuit configured to charge the battery using the converted direct current power provided form the DC/DC converter, a controller, and a communication circuit, wherein the controller is configured to: control the charging circuit to set a magnitude of a reference current of the charging circuit to a first value, the first value being less than a maximum value of an output current of the charging circuit, control the charging circuit to set the magnitude of the reference current to a second value greater than the first value, measure a magnitude of an output current of the charging circuit after setting the magnitude of the reference current to the second value, control, based on a difference between the measured magnitude and the second value being less than or equal to a specified set value, the charging circuit to set the magnitude of the reference current to a third value greater than the second value, and control, based on the difference between the measured magnitude and the second value exceeding the specified set value, the charging circuit to set the magnitude of the reference current to the first value to receive wireless power.

Abstract: An electronic device may include: a resonance circuit which comprises a battery, a coil and a capacitor, and receives power wirelessly; a rectifier which rectifies AC power, provided from the resonance circuit, to DC power; a DC/DC converter which converts and outputs the DC power provided from the rectifier; a charger which charges the battery by using the converted power provided from the DC/DC converter; a first OVP circuit which selectively connects the coil to the capacitor; a second OVP circuit which is connected in parallel to the first OVP circuit; a detection circuit which detects a rectified voltage; a control circuit; and a communication circuit, wherein the control circuit, on the basis that the detected rectified voltage is equal to or greater than a first threshold voltage, controls the first OVP circuit so as to be in an off state so that the coil is not connected to the capacitor, and on the basis that the detected rectified voltage is less than a second threshold voltage, controls the first OVP circuit so that the first OVP circuit is switched from the off state to an on state so that the coil is connected to the capacitor, wherein the second threshold voltage may be smaller than the first threshold voltage.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a variable wireless power transmitter including a plurality of resonators and a method of controlling the variable wireless power transmitter. A wireless power transmitter of the disclosure may include: a housing; a power amplifier disposed inside the housing; a first resonator including at least one coil and fixed to a first portion of the housing; a second resonator including at least one coil, rotatably disposed at a second portion of the housing, and configured to form a variable angle with the first resonator; a sensor configured to sense a shape change based on rotation of the second resonator; a controller configured to: identify a shape change of the first resonator and the second resonator based on a signal sensed by the sensor, identify whether impedance is matched for the first resonator or the second resonator based on the identification of the shape change, and generate a control signal for impedance matching for the first resonator or the second resonator based on identifying that the impedance is not matched; and a matching circuit including at least one coil and at least one capacitor, electrically coupled between the power amplifier and the first resonator, and configured to perform impedance matching based on the control signal received from the controller.
