Abstract: A method for handling an incoming call of an electronic device and an electronic device using the same is provided. The method includes displaying a user interface for handling the incoming call using a screen boundary of the electronic device, when receiving incoming call information while executing an application program on the electronic device, where the user interface for handling the incoming call using the screen boundary is displayed to overlap the user interface of the executed application program; sensing a touch event on the user interface for handling the incoming call using the screen boundary; and performing an incoming call handling function based on the sensed touch event.
