Disclosed is an electronic device comprising: a display, a sensor configured to detect geometric deformation of the electronic device, at least one processor, and a memory operatively connected to the at least one processor and storing at least one application. The memory may include one or more instructions which, when executed, cause the at least one processor to: control the display to display an execution screen of the at least one application on the display in response to execution of the at least one application in the memory; check a rotation mode setting of the electronic device; obtain display characteristic information of the display in response to a geometric deformation event detected by the sensor; determine a display mode of the execution screen based on the display characteristic information and the checked rotation mode setting and map same to the at least one application; and control the display to display the execution screen on the display based on the mapped display mode.

An electronic device includes a user interface; at least one processor operably coupled to the user interface; and a memory operably coupled to the at least one processor, wherein memory is configured to store instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to determine, when the electronic device is in a first state, whether or not a first condition is satisfied; perform a first action of changing a state of the electronic device from the first state to a second state if the first condition is satisfied; receive, through the user interface, a user input of changing the state of the electronic device from the second state to a third state; change the state of the electronic device from the second state to the third state at least partially based on the received user input; and maintain the third state even if the first condition is not satisfied in the third state.

An electronic device and an operation method thereof are provided. The method includes displaying information on a touch screen of the electronic device by operating a first application, displaying user interface of a second application, detecting an input through the user interface, displaying at least one recommendation object corresponding to the input among the information on the touch screen, at least partly in response to the input, receiving an input of selecting at least one of the at least one recommendation object, and displaying the recommendation object on the user interface, in response to the selecting input.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for operating an input function by a cursor of an electronic device are provided. The method includes executing, by the electronic device, a character input mode, providing a cursor handle to support an input function in the character input mode, and changing the cursor handle in response to a user input. The present disclosure may be implemented by various embodiments based on any embodiment of this specification.
