Abstract:
A drag knob for adjusting a drag force of a spinning reel includes a knob body, a screwable member and a rotation prevention member. The knob body includes a knob portion rotatable in a circumferential direction of the spool shaft, and an accommodating recess. The knob body protrudes forward in an axial direction and extends in a radial direction. The accommodating recess has a rearward opening in the axial direction of the spool shaft. The screwable member is disposed in the accommodating recess of the knob body and is screwed onto a front end of the spool shaft. The rotation prevention member is configured to prevent the screwable member from rotating relative to the knob body, has a width narrower than a width of the knob portion and protrudes from the screwable member in a same direction as an extending direction of the knob portion of the knob body.
Abstract:
A line clip includes a mounting member that is mountable to a spool of the spinning reel and a clip body that is able to clip a fishing line. The clip body has a main body, a first projection, a second projection, and a groove. The main body extends from the mounting member. The first projection projects from the main body. The second projection projects from the main body between the mounting member and the first projection. The groove is formed in a concave shape in the main body between the first projection and the second projection.
Abstract:
A rotor braking device includes a moving member, a brake, and a protrusion. The moving member is disposed on the rotor so as to be capable of assuming a first position corresponding to a line-winding position and a second position corresponding to a line-releasing position in cooperation with a bail arm. The brake includes a friction portion rotatable relative to the reel body and frictionally engages the reel body, and a plurality of engagement portions that engage the moving member when the moving member moves to the second position, and brakes the rotation of the rotor when the moving member engages the engagement portions. The protrusion is on either the reel body or the friction portion, and in contact with the other of the friction portion or the reel body, and causes the friction portion to partially frictionally engage the reel body.
Abstract:
A rotation transmission mechanism of a spinning reel for fishing transmits a rotation of a handle to a driven gear of a reciprocating mechanism. The rotation transmission mechanism includes an intermediate gear, a shaft member, and a biasing member. The intermediate gear rotates in response to rotation of the handle, meshes with the driven gear, and transmits the rotation of the handle to the driven gear. The shaft member rotatably supports the intermediate gear. The biasing member biases the intermediate gear in an axial direction of the shaft member.
Abstract:
A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a spool, a spool shaft, a one-way clutch, and an operating lever. The spool is rotatable relative to the reel body. The spool shaft is configured to integrally rotate with the spool. The one-way clutch comprises an outer ring that is rotatable relative to the reel body and a rolling body configured to transmit rotation of the spool shaft in the casting direction to the outer ring, the one-way clutch being attached to the spool shaft. The operating lever is attached to the reel body, extends in a radial direction, and is configured to adjust a braking force that brakes rotation of the outer ring.
Abstract:
A roller clutch includes an outer ring, an inner ring, a roller, a first spring member, a retainer, and a protrusion portion. The roller is disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring and is movable between a transmitting position and a non-transmitting position. The retainer has a roller holding space holding the roller and a support section supporting the first spring member. The protrusion portion is configured to regulate the movement of the roller, and resist the biasing force of the first spring member at a predetermined position.
Abstract:
A spinning reel includes a handle, a housing, a rotor, a bail arm, a moving member and an abutting member. The bail arm is attached to the rotor and is pivotable between a first posture and a second posture. The moving member is positioned in a first position when the bail arm is in the first posture, moving member positioned in a second position behind the first position when the bail arm is in the second posture, and is rotatable together with the rotor. The abutting member is attached to the housing and abuts the moving member in the second position to move the moving member toward the first position. The returning device returns the bail arm to the first posture from the second posture when the moving member moves toward the first position from the second position.
Abstract:
A rotor for a spinning reel for fishing, includes a cylindrical portion, a first rotor arm, a second rotor arm and a reinforcement portion. The cylindrical portion has a rear end opening that is open. The first rotor arm extends forward from an outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion and configured to couple to a first bail support portion including a line roller. The second rotor arm is at a position opposing the first rotor arm, extending forward from the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion, and configured to couple to a second bail support portion holding an end of a bail that extends from the first bail support portion. The reinforcement portion has a wall portion that is thicker than a surrounding portion, and is disposed on an inner peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion in a position at which the first rotor arm is disposed.
Abstract:
A braking operation lever for a rotor braking device of a spinning reel for applying a braking force to the rotation of a rotor rotatably supported by a reel body, the braking operation lever includes a lever main body, an operating section, a brake shoe, an elastic member, and a fall out prevention mechanism. The lever body is rotatably supported by the reel body. The operating section is configured to perform a braking operation, and is disposed on a first end part of the lever main body. The brake shoe is disposed on a second end part of the lever main body, and is configured to be pressed against the rotor by operation of the operating section. The elastic member is disposed between the brake shoe and the lever main body. The fall out prevention mechanism prevents the elastic member from falling out of the brake shoe.
Abstract:
A spinning reel body of a spinning reel includes a housing, a cover member, and a guard member. The housing has an internal housing space, a sidewall that forms a side face of the housing space, and a rear wall that forms a rear face of the housing space. The housing space has an open side opposite the side face formed by the sidewall. The sidewall has a rear portion extending beyond the rear wall in a rearward direction. The cover member is mounted to the housing and covers the open side of the housing space. The guard member is mounted at the rear wall of the housing and at a rear portion of the cover member to form a space between the rear portion of the sidewall and the rear wall of the housing.
