Abstract: Disclosed is a display device including a first substrate and a second substrate bonded to the first substrate. The first substrate includes a first surface and a second surface, on which a columnar spacer is formed. The second substrate includes a third surface, on which a columnar spacer facing portion is formed, and a fourth surface. The second surface is opposed to the third surface, and at least one of a top portion of the columnar spacer and the columnar spacer facing portion has an inclined surface, which is inclined relative to the second surface or the third surface. An inclination direction of the inclined surface, when viewed from a normal direction of the first surface or the fourth surface, is parallel to or perpendicular to a first direction, which is parallel to the first surface or the fourth surface.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel according to an exemplary aspect of the invention includes a pair of substrates, liquid crystal being arranged between the pair of substrates and spherical spacers being arranged between the pair of substrates.
