摘要： Additional recording data is written continuously with data already recorded on a disk and writing of additional data is started in synch with recorded data. The optical head 1 reads data recorded on the disk just before recording is halted every time the record decision unit 22 judges that recording is to be halted. The record-status detection unit 25 detects the formation status of the recorded data. The head output control unit 14 sets the luminous output of the optical head 1 at the beginning of additional writing according to the recording state judged by the record-state detection unit 25. Thus, the formation status of data recorded on a disk is detected to allow the luminous output of the optical head 1 to be set to an optimum record level.

摘要： An operation for recording a recording signal onto a disk (1) is interrupted, when an amount of signal data stored in a buffer RAM (11) for temporarily storing the recording signal is less than an interruption setting value during performing of the recording operation. Moreover, when the amount of signal data stored in the buffer RAM (11) increases and indicates a resumption setting value, the signal recorded on the disk (1) before interruption is reproduced, and the recording operation is resumed based on the reproduced signal. Moreover, recording properties are detected by the signal reproduced before resumption of recording.

摘要： An offset adjustment signal is recorded in a test recording area provided on the inner side of a disc while modifying the level of a driving signal for offset detection that is supplied to a tilt adjustment coil. Thereafter, an operation to play back the offset adjustment signal is performed, and a β value is detected from an RF signal that is played back. When a signal is recorded for which the detected β value reaches a maximum, the level of the driving signal supplied to the tilt adjustment coil is set as an offset value. Tilt control is then performed by adding the offset value to a tilt signal for performing tilt control.

摘要： An offset adjustment signal is recorded in a test recording area provided on the inner side of a disc while modifying the level of a driving signal for offset detection that is supplied to a tilt adjustment coil.
