Abstract:
A vehicle includes a vehicle body. The vehicle includes a first track and a second track supported by the vehicle body. The first track and the second track are elongated along a longitudinal axis. The vehicle includes a third track and a fourth track supported by the vehicle body. The third track and the fourth track are elongated along a vertical axis. The vehicle includes a harness having a first webbing movable along the first track, a second webbing movable along the second track, a third webbing movable along the third track, and a fourth webbing movable along the fourth track.
Abstract:
An assembly includes a vehicle pillar elongated along an axis. The assembly includes seatbelt retractor and a webbing retractably extendable from the retractor. The seatbelt retractor is lockable from an unlocked position in which the webbing is extendable from and retractable into the retractor to a locked position in which the retractor restricts extension of the webbing from the retractor. A seatbelt guide is supported by the pillar. The seatbelt retractor is below the seatbelt guide. The webbing extends upwardly from the seatbelt retractor around the seatbelt guide. A releasable connection connects the seatbelt guide to the pillar when the seatbelt retractor is in the unlocked position and releases the seatbelt guide relative to the pillar when force on the webbing exceeds a threshold when the seatbelt retractor is in the locked position. An energy absorber is between the vehicle pillar and the seatbelt guide.
Abstract:
Provided is a pre-tensioner for a seat belt, the pre-tensioner including a housing, a carrier disposed on a first surface of the housing, a fixing member connected to the carrier, a first pulley disposed in a first zone of the first surface of the housing, a second pulley disposed in a second zone of the first surface opposite to the first zone with respect to the carrier, a driving unit having at least a portion coupled to the second pulley, and a belt disposed to mesh with the first pulley, the second pulley, and the carrier.
Abstract:
A seat belt buckle presenter assembly (10) has a guide track (40) and a buckle presenter assembly (20). The guide track (40) is anchored to a vehicle seat frame at a first end and a second end. The buckle presenter assembly (10) is secured to and mounted onto the guide track (40) and is movable along the guide track (40) from a stowed position at the first end to an extended position toward the second end. Preferably, the guide track (40) is inclined having the first end of the guide track (40) fixed lower than the second end.
Abstract:
A sliding mechanism a first part and a second part adapted for sliding translation within the first part. A guide rib structure is included on the first part to constrain a lateral motion of the second part, including one or more ribs each defining at least one inclined plane. The guide rib structure may be a continuous rib member defining a sinusoidal or trapezoidal wave pattern, or may include a plurality of ribs each defining an inclined plane.
Abstract:
At a present through anchor, a through-hole is formed in a core metal. Due thereto, at the core metal, there is no metal portion of the core metal at a portion MF that is furthest from an outer peripheral portion of the core metal and a supporting hole and an insert-through hole. Accordingly, because there is no need for a heat treatment such as quenching or the like at the furthest portion MF and a periphery thereof, dispersion in mechanical characteristics at respective regions of the core metal after a heat treatment can be made to be small.
Abstract:
A system includes a seat belt height adjuster, a seat belt retractor includes a payout sensor, and a seat. The seat includes a seat position sensor and a weight sensor configured to measure a weight of an occupant of the seat. The system includes a control module in communication with the payout sensor, the seat position sensor, and the weight sensor. The control module is programmed to calculate a size of the occupant based at least on the payout and the seat position. The control module is programmed to adjust a position of the seat belt height adjuster based at least on the size and weight of the occupant.
Abstract:
A web position and attenuation apparatus includes an elongated body extending in a longitudinal direction between opposite ends thereof, a bracket mounted to one of the opposite ends of the elongated body and configured to be affixed to a frame of a movable vehicle, a web coupling member slidably received on the elongated body and positionable along the elongated body. The web coupling member defines a first web slot, and a flexible web extends through the first web slot. The elongated body attenuates forces applied by the flexible web to the web coupling member in non-parallel directions relative to the longitudinal direction by elastically deforming in the non-parallel directions.
Abstract:
An apparatus for positioning a vehicle restraint is provided herein having a track and a restraint support configured to slide along the track. A positioner is coupled to the restraint support and a motor, coupled to the positioner, is operable to adjust a position of the restraint support. A switch is in communication with the motor and the motor is operable to adjust the position of the restraint support in response an input to the switch. An apparatus for identifying the occupant and automatically positioning of a vehicle restraint is also provided.
Abstract:
In an assembly comprising a belt height adjuster (104) and a belt feeder for feeding a belt webbing (110) the belt feeder includes an arm (112) which is adapted to be moved, especially pivoted from a home position into a feeding position by means of a drive. The arm (112) is arranged at the belt height adjuster (104).
