摘要： In a double-function sewing machine including a lock stitching mechanism and an overlock stitching mechanism a common driving source and a common flywheel for both stitching mechanisms are used. A switching device for switching the sewing machine from operation with the overlock stitching mechanism to the operation with lock stitching mechanism and vice versa is provided in the sewing machine. This device includes a belt wheel bush rotatable with respect to the machine frame and driven by the driving source and secured to the shaft of the flywheel, a belt wheel for overlock stitching rotatably supported with respect to the machine frame and connected to the overlock stitch forming mechanism, a ratchet guide member mounted on the main shaft of the lock stitch-forming mechanism and pivoted with respect to the machine frame, two sliding plates one of which is the mounted on ratchet guide member and another one of which is mounted on the belt wheel, and a switching lever. The switching lever is operated to alternatively hold one of the sliding plates on the belt wheel bush for selecting for operation the lock stitch-forming mechanism or the overlock stitch-forming mechanism.

摘要： A selecting device for a double-function sewing machine having a single drive motor with the sewing machine including a first stitch forming mechanism to produce one type of stitch, a second stitch forming mechanism to produce another type of stitch, and a transmission for transmitting the rotation of the drive motor to the first and second stitch forming mechanism. The selecting device includes a first clutch operated into an operative position to contact the first stitch forming mechanism to a transmission and operated into an inoperative position to disconnect that mechanism from the transmission, and a second clutch operated into an operative position to connect the second stitch forming mechanism to the transmission and operated into an inoperative position to disconnect that mechanism from the transmission. A manually operated dial is mounted on the housing of the sewing machine, which is connected to a lever mechanism operated in one direction to hold the first mentioned clutch in the inoperative position and release the second clutch into the operative position. The lever mechanism is manually operated in another direction to hold the second clutch in the inoperative position and release the first clutch into the operative position.

摘要： A double-function sewing machine, which is provided with a lock stitch forming mechanism and an overlock stitch forming mechanism, has a common driving source and a common flywheel for the two mechanisms. The sewing machine is provided with a switching device which includes a switch key connected to the flywheel of the machine. The switch key is selectively switchable to engage the shaft of the lock stitch-forming mechanism or a drive of the overlock stitch-forming mechanism. The switching device further includes a switching pawl which is engageable with and disengageable from the drive of the overlock stitch forming mechanism to hold the latter when the lock stitch forming mechanism is operated.

摘要： A push-pull clutch for use in a sewing machine for selectively effecting rotation of a rotary drive shaft in the sewing machine, the clutch including a base member in driving relationship with one end of the drive shaft and rotatable therewith. A drive member is mounted on the drive shaft and is rotatable relative thereto. An operating member is carried by the base member for rotation therewith, the operating member being movable between first and second operating positions in an axial direction relative to the drive shaft and the base member. A drive pin and a transmission pin are provided, the transmission pin effecting rotation between the base member and the drive shaft, and the drive pin engaging the drive member for effecting rotation of the operating member and the base member and the drive shaft, depending on the axial position of the operating member.

摘要： A shaft has at one end, a threaded portion, a cylindrical portion and a drive bush fixed thereto. The fly-wheel is mounted to rotate on the cylindrical portion of the shaft, a clamping block being screwed on the threaded portion to clamp the flywheel against the drive bush to lock it in rotation on the shaft. The possible angle of rotation of the block on the shaft is limited by a screw threaded in any one of at least two bores of the block to come into cooperation with a stop finger fast in rotation to the shaft and extending radially with respect to the latter. The bores are parallel to the axis of the shaft. The screw can be positioned in that one of the bores which provides the most favourable angle of rotation of the block between the coupling position of the fly-wheel and its uncoupled position.
