    摘要: A variable ratio gearbox is combined with a drive motor and an interactive control system. A coaxial shaft connects to a differential gear set to power an output shaft. The transmission has a drive shaft with an inner shaft and an outer shaft. A friction disk nonrotatably mounts to said outer shaft and a shifter connected to the friction disk moves the friction disk along the outer shaft. At least two cones engage the periphery of the friction disk and a differential gear set combines the rotation of the inner and outer shaft.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission may have a first set of rollers and a second set of rollers that act upon skewed driving and driven surfaces of discs. The input to output ratio of the continuously variable transmission may be changed by pushing either one of the first and second sets of rollers closer to a rotating shaft. To maintain symmetrical loading within the continuously variable transmission, an idler disc assembly may have a strain compensator that deflects to compensate for deflection of outer discs due to elasticity of the main shaft.

    摘要: A lubricating oil supply system for an infinitely variable transmission wherein the infinitely variable transmission has a transmission shaft provided with a lubricating oil path and is rotatably mounted through the wall section of a casing. The infinitely variable transmission is housed in a transmission case partly defined by the wall section. An input rotary member is provided that is relatively unrotatably connected to the transmission shaft on the outside of the transmission case. An oil pump is provided for supplying lubricating oil to the lubricating oil path. The oil pump is located in the casing. In this infinitely variable transmission, the oil passage from the oil pump to the lubricated portion of the infinitely variable transmission is simplified in structure and the oil passage is substantially reduced in length, thereby enabling a decrease in the length of the transmission shaft. The oil pump which is driven by the transmission shaft is located on the wall section.

    摘要: Transmission with a ring or belt nipped between two rotating elements of which at least one is cone-shaped. The rotating elements have two parallel lines at their closest point. The ring encompasses one of the rotating elements and directly transfers the power from the drive to the driven element by means of friction. The ring remains in a plane orthogonal to the parallel lines on the rotating elements and that plane can shift to a new point along the parallel lines by a controlling mechanism which travels in back and forth on a line parallel to those parallel lines. Thus the ratio of the cross section of the two rotating elements changes and the device constitutes an infinite speed transmission. If one of the rotating elements is cylindrical instead of cone-shaped, there is the possibility of achieving better traction on the side of the ring which touches the cylinder through a wider contact surface or else through a geared tooth contact instead of a friction contact.

A vertical and horizontally mobile rack is mounted between the shafts in a plane parallel but perpendicular to theirs. On the said rack are journaled two intermediary wheels so mounted as to synchronously rotate, slide and cant while one or the other of the intermediary wheels is in contact with the said shafts. Two more intermediary wheels are so mounted as to provide reverse rotation of the output shaft.

    摘要: A differential device has a drive shaft, a pair of cones connected to it so as to rotate at the same speed, a pair of wheel shafts with a pair of ring wheels fitted on them such that the ring wheels are engaged in a rotational direction with conical surfaces of the cones. The ring wheels are slidable in an axial direction and are positioned parallel to the axis of the corresponding wheel shafts. The ring wheels are transmissively in contact with the outer conical surfaces of the pair of cones. A steering mechanism is included for moving these ring wheels axially on the wheel shafts proportional to the amount of steering. A pair of brake teeth are on the ring wheels and a corresponding pair of brake teeth are attached to a fixed casing. When one of the ring wheels moves toward a smaller-diameter side of the corresponding cone, and gets off of the corresponding conical surface, the other ring wheel keeps making transmissive contact with a larger diameter of the other cone corresponding to the other ring wheel. Also when one of the ring wheels gets off the conical surface, the brake teeth of that ring wheel can mesh with the corresponding fixed brake teeth while the other ring wheel keeps making transmissive contact with a larger-diameter of the other cone corresponding to the other ring wheel.
