    摘要: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a fluid or liquid barrier packing system which is adapted to minimize VOC emissions, while also providing live-loading and continuous load monitoring functions. The components of the packing system (including the liquid barrier) are adapted to be installed in a traditional stuffing box of a valve utilizing a top entry method, and without the necessity of having to inject the liquid through any side ports of the valve. The packing system reduces leakage levels as required by low emission leakage specifications by creating a reverse osmosis effect, limiting the diffusivity of a gas through the packing elements of the system. Thus, the packing system of the present invention provides a simplified method to load and monitor a barrier in the stuffing box of the valve to slightly higher pressure than processed fluid pressure.

    摘要: The present invention is directed toward an anti-contamination arrangement for a valve having a valve housing, a bushing positioned in the valve housing, a valve member including a valve shaft and a valving portion operable for engaging a valve seat, slidably disposed through the bushing, and a supply port operably associated with the valve member. The valve also includes a control chamber controlled by the valving portion, and a valve seat positioned between the supply port and the control chamber. The valve member is operably associated with the valve seat for controlling the flow of fluid from the supply port to the control chamber upon the movement of the valve member in relation to the valve seat. There is also an anti-contamination arrangement positioned between the bushing and the valve shaft for collecting and removing contamination from the valve member.

    摘要: A breather valve comprises a valve body having a valve fluid passageway terminating in a valve seat. The valve body includes a pressure pallet guide and the valve seat has double lips. A pressure pallet having a size commensurate with the valve seat is mounted on the pressure pallet guide for limited motion towards and away from the valve seat. The pressure pallet has a sealing side oriented to face the valve seat. A flexible diaphragm extending inside the valve seat is secured to the sealing side of the pressure pallet outside the valve seat. A gap lies between the double lips of the valve seat. A liquid source is in fluid communication with the gap lying between the double lips of the valve seat. A liquid seal provides protection against freezing, gumming and leaking of the seal.

    摘要: A redundant sealing system with secondary containment for preventing leakage of fluid along a valve shaft is provided. The system comprises a first set of dynamic seals, a second set of dynamic seals, an auxiliary barrier fluid chamber, and a barrier fluid indicator. The first and second set of dynamic seals are in spaced relation to each other a distance equal to or further than a maximum stroke length of an actuatable valve stem. The auxiliary barrier fluid chamber is interposed between the first and second sets of dynamic seals. The barrier fluid indicator has a piston in a primary barrier fluid chamber. A first face of the piston is exposed to a process fluid. A second face of the piston is exposed to a barrier fluid and inhibited from fluid communication with the auxiliary barrier fluid chamber by a dynamic seal in the first set of dynamic seals.

A handle is combined with a handle combination unit formed in an upper portion of the valve body, so that a valve rod can ascend and descend. An oil storage chamber is located between the knurling portion and the screw, to maintain the ascending and descending of the valve rod. The angular slope in the screw thread is formed so as open and close the valve by 90° rotation of the valve rod. A stem contacts the valve sheet, the stem having a conical end portion, which is received by the valve sheet. The handle is flexibly manipulated to simply and swiftly control flow and entrance/exit of fluid. The valve can be used semi-perpetually since wear of the valve sheet is prevented, providing excellent general purpose usability.

The sealing system includes an internal seal between the valve body and moving element proximate the lading and an external seal between the valve body and moving element proximate the free end of the moving element. A space for sealant is formed around the moving element between the internal and external seals. A load member is provided for pressurizing the sealant within the space to a pressure greater than the fluid pressure of the lading in the valve body cavity and the ambient pressure around the exterior of the valve. An indicator member is provided for detecting any leakage of the sealant past either the internal or external seals.

    摘要: A valve stem seal assembly to prevent and stop leakage around a valve stem by encircling the valve stem at a bolted gland. The seal assembly is fitted on top of the bonnet to enclose the valve stem and a sealant compound is forced through an inlet opening into the seal assembly fitting into sealant channels around the valve stem to provide primary sealing around the stem and a secondary sealing at the bottom of the assembly housing fitting into the bonnet. The packing gland fits on top of the valve stem seal assembly and provides a secondary seal around the valve stem at the top of the valve stem seal assembly. The inlet fitting to provide for the conduction of the sealant into the valve stem seal assembly is provided with a T-fitting in order that sealant can be injected under pressure. A threaded bolt valve is adapted to close the T-fitting while the sealant is under pressure to provide for closure and increase in the sealant pressure in the closing operation. Besides use on valves the gland may also be used on all types of pumps such as piston pumps, also the steam cut off rods on steam pumps and electrical centrifugal pumps. The same procedure would apply as repacking a valve while under pressure.
