摘要: The present invention relates to a burner for a boiler using solid fuel such as wood pellets or the like, which are in the spotlight as biomass energy, and realizes a new combustion type, wherein fuel is transported using a screw circulating water inside and burnt in a predetermined section supplied with air (oxygen) by a blower. Therefore, it is possible to secure the durability of the screw even at the high temperature generated during the combustion, and complete simultaneous treatment of sludge and ashes. In addition, it is possible to largely reduce the size of the boiler using solid fuels, thereby simplifying the entire structure of the boiler, while promoting the reduction of manufacturing cost.

摘要: An apparatus for use in a furnace system to facilitate efficient and complete combustion of coal streams in a carrier gas. The apparatus, capable of being positioned horizontally or vertically in the coal pipes between the grinding mills and the furnace burner, contains a plurality of adjustable blades that are movable between an open and closed position. The position of the adjustable blades and the differing geometric shapes of the apparatus housing manipulate the amount and direction of coal streams in a carrier gas. This design reduces the amount of turbulent eddies in the pipe system, which helps to achieve a more homogenous flow of coal in a carrier gas and the efficient and complete combustion of coal in a carrier gas within the furnace burner.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling the flow of a fluid includes a LP fluid inlet (18) and a LP fluid outlet (9) connected to a flare/vent system. A LP flow line (20) connects the LP fluid inlet (18) to the LP inlet 6a of a jet pump (6). A supply of HP fluid is connected to jet pump inlet (6b), and a MP line (8) is connected to jet pump outlet (6c). A control unit (28) is configured to control operation of first and second LP flow control valves (4, 3) according to signals received from a flow meter (12), so that LP gas is diverted from the flare system to the LP inlet (6a) of the jet pump for pressurisation.

摘要: The present application provides a back mixing device for use with a pneumatically conveyed flow of solids having a varying flow rate. The back mixing device may include a nozzle, a chamber in communication with the nozzle, and an exit. The chamber may include an expanded area leading to a restriction such that the chamber creates a recirculation pattern in the flow of solids so as to smooth the varying flow rate though the back mixing device.

摘要: An improved system and method is provided for operating a parallel entrainment fluidized bed gasifier system. A first aspect of the present invention relates to a method for reducing ash agglomeration in a parallel entrainment fluidized bed gasifier/combustor system by adding a quantity of MgO to the feedstock used in the gasifier/combustor system. A second aspect of the present invention relates to an apparatus and method for reducing erosion at piping bends in fluidized particulate piping systems which utilizes sand retention cavities positioned to receive and retain a portion of the fluidized particulate. A third aspect of the present invention relates to an apparatus and method for facilitating the flow of sand and char fragments from a first compartment to a second compartment while minimizing the flow of gases between the first and second compartments.
