摘要： A replaceable toilet tank cover is provided having a base member with a top surface and a bottom surface. A lip is defined around the sides of the cover. At least two post members are disposed on the bottom surface and are set off from the lip a predetermined distance so that a tank wall of the toilet tank can fit between the post members and the lip. A resilient retaining device is disposed on the bottom surface adjacent from and set off from the lip. The retaining device has at least two spring arms resiliently movable in a plane generally parallel to the bottom surface for resiliently pressing against the inside surface of the toilet tank wall thereby clamping the tank wall between the lip and the spring arms.

摘要： One-piece latches or door-retenting devices of elastomeric material of specified parameters, are constructed for disposition in the surface of a door or other supporting panel so that at least one lip projects outwardly from the edge or surface in elastically deformable relation to engage a striker bar or surface. A first type includes and elongated lip projecting or depending from one edge, the inner surface of the lip forming a slot which just accommodates the striker bar upon closure of the latch, the adjacent outer surface of the lip projecting in angular relation to the slot providing resilient latching action against the striker bar when the latch is opened or closed. Latch shapes of this type include "D" shape, "C" shape, round, square, polygonal and line configurations. A second type comprises a bellows-like latching member closed at one end with a protuberance in the form of an elastomeric bulb which is constructed to be elastically deformed by the striker bar or latching surface. Such a latch can be readily molded as an intergral part into a panel or container. Additional modifications include a shallow groove surrounding the body of the latch which is constructed to seat around the edge of an opening which has been cut in the closure accommodating the latch. These modified forms include tab latches having a single and a double lip, and knob latches including a round latch symmetrical about an axis through its center.

The resilient member is shaped to enter the orifice and verge the two parts together and to permit separation of the two parts by a relative pivoting movement adjacent to the abutting joint between the parts whereby the resilient member is retracted from the orifice.

摘要： The safety closure latch includes a stop member depending from the upper wall of the drawer opening. The stop member is generally rectangular and has a pair of vertically aligned rectangular openings. The latch member is mounted on the inner face of the front vertical wall of the drawer adjacent the top. The latch member comprises a mounting base and a pair of vertically spaced parallel arms extending horizontally from the base into the drawer. Each arm terminates in a hooked end having a shoulder, the hook on the upper arm extending upwardly and the hook on the lower arm extending downwardly. The arms are so aligned that when the drawer is closed, the arms will slide into the aligned openings of the stop member, the hook portion on the upper arm snapping by the upper edge of the upper opening, and the hook portion of the lower arm snapping by the lower edge of the lower opening. When the drawer is pulled open, the hook portions will engage the edges of the openings and prevent the drawer from being opened more than the length of the arms. This prevents small children from getting into the drawer. An adult can reach it with the thumb and forefinger, grasp the arms and squeeze them together. The hooked ends will then clear the openings and the drawer can be opened completely. Since both arms must be cleared, the device provides a double safety latch.

摘要： A combination latch and anti-rattle clip for a folding seat structure having a backrest panel pivotally mounted on the floor of a vehicle body. An elevated deck extends rearwardly of the floor and an upstanding wall extends from the floor to the deck. An extension panel is hinged to the backrest panel for pivotal movement with the latter from an upstanding position to a position in which the backrest panel, extension panel and elevated deck form a flat surface, the extension panel filling a space or gap between the backrest panel and elevated deck. The extension panel has a socket adjacent its edge opposite to its hinged edge. The combination latch and anti-rattle clip comprises a high density elastomeric member having a flat base portion adapted to be mounted on the upstanding wall. A downwardly depending arcuate flange projects forwardly from the base portion intermediate the upper and lower edges of the latter. A terminal edge of the arcuate flange is in spaced relation to the bottom edge of the base portion. The arcuate flange is stiffly resiliently flexed toward the base portion upon engagement by the extension panel when the latter is folded against the backrest panel when both are in upstanding position thereby to provide the anti-rattle function. At its upper edge the base portion is provided with an enlarged rib portion in spaced relation to the arcuate flange, the rib portion having on its rear edge a lip adapted to overlie the juncture of the upstanding wall and the elevated deck. The enlarged rib is receivable in the extension panel socket to latch the latter in planar relationship to the deck when the extension panel is in horizontal position between the backrest panel and elevated deck.
