It is proposed to compare an accelerator pedal gradient signal (DKIG) with a presettable threshold value (DKIG_Limit) and to trigger a downshift already before the shifting characteristic line is exceeded when the actual value of the accelerator pedal gradient signal is great than the threshold value. This significantly reduces the reaction time of the transmission.

    摘要: A remote-controlled starter apparatus is used in a machine having a power supply system and a power mechanism interconnected via a power conducting line. The starter apparatus includes a starter control circuit, a current sensing circuit and a signal converting circuit. The starter control circuit starts the power mechanism upon receiving a start-initiate signal transmitted by a remote controller, and generates a signal to activate the current sensing circuit. The current sensing circuit generates a sensor output corresponding to electrical current flowing through the power conducting line. The signal converting circuit is connected to the current sensing circuit and the starter control circuit, and converts the sensor output into a corresponding voltage output to enable the starter control circuit to determine whether or not the starting operation was successful, and to restart the power mechanism upon determining that the starting operation was unsuccessful.

    摘要: A system for controlling internal combustion engine performance in accordance with driver behavior includes a vehicle control computer operable to receive a plurality of vehicle operating parameter signals and control engine fueling based thereon. In accordance with an operational status, or an operational state determined over a predefined time interval, of one or more of the vehicle operating parameter signals, the system is operable to control available engine performance. Both the operational status and operational state of the various vehicle operating parameters are the result of the manner in which the driver operates the vehicle. The control system of the present invention is thus operable to reward/penalize driver performance by correspondingly adding/subtracting available engine performance in the form of available engine output power and/or available vehicle speed. Preferably, subtracting available engine performance occurs automatically, and adding available engine performance may be either done automatically or according to driver demand.

    摘要: An improved control for an automatic transmission upshift, wherein the on-coming clutch pressure (Ponc) is scheduled during the torque and inertia phases of the shift in accordance with the summation of feed-forward and feed-back control terms, the feed-forward control term being developed using an inverse dynamic model of the transmission. The feed-forward control term is determined by developing a desired acceleration trajectory of the input shaft, and periodically applying the acceleration trajectory to the inverse dynamic model to obtain an estimate of the required on-coming clutch pressure, given the transmission input torque. The feed-back control term is based on a comparison of the expected input speed response with the actual input speed response, and corrects for modeling errors in the feed-forward control, providing disturbance rejection and improved command following. Additionally, the closed-loop feedback error is used to enable adaptive correction of the feed-forward control so that the estimated on-coming clutch pressure more nearly produces the commanded input shaft acceleration. Controlling the input shaft acceleration in this manner achieves more consistent shift feel and energy dissipation in the on-coming clutch, with less intensive calibration effort and improved adaptability to different powertrain and vehicle-type configurations.

    摘要: An improved transmission shift pattern control that preserves the attributes of a selected base shift pattern while dynamically adjusting the high throttle shift thresholds based on a measure of vehicle loading. Heavy vehicle loading is detected by recognizing a pattern of high engine throttle and lower than expected vehicle acceleration, and the high power shifting thresholds are dynamically adjusted based on the detected loading to automatically provide aggressive shifting in a heavily loaded vehicle without producing excessive shift cycling in a normally or lightly loaded vehicle. A throttle timer is used to detect a condition of sustained high throttle operation, and under such condition, an acceleration timer determines the duration of lower than expected acceleration. If the determined duration exceeds a threshold, a shift pattern override is activated until the acceleration rises above an exit threshold. The severity of the loading condition may be determined with multiple acceleration timers used to activate successively more aggressive shift pattern overrides.
