摘要： A trouser presser (10) includes a pair of front waist bucks (40) having front and opposing side surfaces for receiving and engaging the front torso part of a pair of trousers. A pair of rear waist bucks (41) is provided having rear and opposing side surfaces for receiving and engaging the rear torso part of a pair of trousers, with the trousers encircling the front and rear waist bucks (40 and 41, respectively). An air cylinder alternately moves front and rear waist buck (40 and 41, respectively) relatively towards and away from each other to define a closed position where the trousers are held loosely and an open position where the trousers are held in a tensioned condition for being pressed. The opposing side surfaces of the front and rear waist bucks (40, 41) are parallel to each other and in the same vertical plane to collectively define opposing, planar pressing surfaces for opposite sides of the trousers. The upper extent of side chests (23) on either side of center buck (22) also define planar pressing surfaces for making surface-to-surface pressing contact between the opposing side surfaces of the front and rear waist bucks (40, 41).

摘要： In a device for pressing pants whereby the pants are oriented vertically, it is desired that the human operation of the device be confined to one side, and that the pants can be inserted in the device in simple fashion, from only the front side of the device. This is achieved in an arrangement wherein, with reference to FIG. 1, two vertical front press plates (8 and 9) and two insertion plates (6 and 7) are hinged (18 and 19) to swing outward in flap fashion with respect to two vertical rear press plates (4and 5), such hinging being to the rear press plates (4and 5); wherein pressing assemblies (23) for pressing the pairs of press plates together are disposed outside the swing region of the front press plates (8 and 9) and the insertion plates (6 and 7); wherein for tensioning the pants one rear press plate (5) is made horizontally translatable (per 11 and 17) with respect to the other rear press plate (4); and wherein a clamp (25) for holding and stretching the waistband is associated with the broad side of one rear press plate (4), which broad side is furnished with nozzle openings (37). When the front press plates and the insertion plates are swung open, the broad sides of the rear press plates (which broad sides are furnished with nozzle openings) as well as the clamp which is holding the front end of the waistband, are freely accessible from the front side of the device. After the waistband is held fast and tensioned, the pants are pressed between the press plates, after which the two pairs of press plates are moved apart a little, horizontally in the plane of the pants, in order to tension the pants.

摘要： A seam press for tubular clothing articles, comprising a free pressing beam operable to receive an article with a seam portion thereof extending along the top side of the beam, and an elongated expander member located underneath the beam and designed and suspended so as to be generally vertically movable between an upper inactive position in which it allows for easy introduction of the article onto the beam and easy withdrawal therefrom, and a lowered operative position in which it is substantially freely flexible so as to be able to rest on the inner bottom side of the tubular clothing article and thereby stretch the article substantially uniformly throughout its length. The press is usable for pressing of seams of the single flap type without the article having to be turned the wrong side out, and preferably the pressing beam is so adapted and connected with a steam generator that steam may be supplied to the seam portion through the surface of the beam, thereby obviating the use of external pressing iron means. Preferably the expander member consists of a row of heavy tubular elements connected with means for compressing the row of elements axially to make the member stiff and liftable as a whole, while otherwise the tubular members are allowed to flex relative each other.

摘要： Garment finishing or pressing machine equippage is disclosed that utilizes a closed piping system for indirectly supplying heat continuously at a relatively high temperature through the agency of a circulating, hot fluid, such as steam, interiorly of a garment that may be positioned along a permeable garment bag. The atmosphere of the bag and interior of the garment is supplied with hot air that is heated by the piping system. Perforated jacket or sleeve means is positioned along the piping system and is adapted to, at intervals or periodically, be supplied with a so-called blast of hot fluid in the nature of a moisture containing fluid such as steam. Fluid returning from circulation through the piping system is passed through a heat exchanger for preliminarily heating the air being supplied to the garment.

摘要： A pants finishing or pressing machine is provided that is fully adaptable in its construction to different types of pants and pants materials, that enables a spaced operational expansive movement of both its upper and lower flexible creasing blades, and that has a steam supply system that extends forwardly along its garment-receiving permeable bag. Side-mounted pairs of upper and lower creasing blades, one for each pant leg, are provided with pairs of side-mounted spread arms that operate to expand and contract each blade of the pair at longitudinally spaced locations therealong. A two-part steam supply system extends along the operating frame of the machine and employs an inner, closed-off pipe circulating assembly and an outer, concentrically mounted, perforated tubular steam dispersing assembly. An improved fly presser is used which operates within spacing between side pairs of blades and independently of the creasing operation of such blades.
