    摘要: Commercially beneficial carbon-containing fractions can be recovered from hydrothermal liquefaction reactions in various types of processors. Feedstock slurry from waste solids is placed into a pressurized processor where it is maintained at temperature and pressure for a predetermined period. On discharge from the processor the processed discharge is separated into liquid and solid fractions. Gaseous fractions including carbon dioxide can also be removed or off-taken from the processor. New molecular structures are created in this reaction, resulting in fractions including biogas, biofuels, biosolids and biocrude. Silica, phosphates, potash and low concentration nitrogen based fertilizer, along with carbonaceous material can also be recovered.

    摘要: A process for producing low or no carbon intensity hydrogen. In one embodiment, the process includes the step of pretreating a hydrocarbon gas stream. The pretreated hydrocarbon gas stream is fed into a reformer. The pretreated hydrocarbon gas steam is heated in the reformer to produce a synthesis gas stream and a flue gas stream. The flue gas stream is fed to a waste heat recovery section. Waste heat is recovered to increase the thermal efficiency of the process. The synthesis gas stream is fed to a shift gas reactor. Carbon monoxide from the synthesis gas stream in the shift gas reactor is converted to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide is separated from the synthesis gas stream and the hydrogen is separated. In another embodiment, the carbon dioxide is captured following the hydrogen separation. In another embodiment, the carbon dioxide is captured from the flue gas.

    摘要: A hydrocarbon is reacted with water in the presence of a catalyst to form hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. Hydrogen is selectively allowed to pass through a hydrogen separation membrane to a permeate side of a reactor, while water and carbon-containing compounds remain in a retentate side of the reactor. An outlet stream is flowed from the retentate side to a heat exchanger. The outlet stream is cooled to form a cooled stream. The cooled stream is separated into a liquid phase and a vapor phase. The liquid phase is flowed to the heat exchanger and heated to form steam. The vapor phase is cooled to form condensed water and a first offgas stream. The first offgas stream is cooled to form condensed carbon dioxide and a second offgas stream. The steam and the second offgas stream are recycled to the reactor.

    摘要: A method is provided for producing carbon dioxide by combusting a carbonaceous fuel with oxygen or with a gas mixture containing more than 25 mol % of oxygen obtaining a flue gas mixture, wherein the flue gas mixture is processed obtaining a secondary gas mixture containing carbon dioxide and oxygen, and wherein a part of the oxygen contained in the secondary gas mixture is catalytically reacted with a first auxiliary fuel in a reactor system comprising a series of multiple reactors, obtaining further carbon dioxide and water. A further part of the oxygen contained in the secondary gas mixture is catalytically reacted with a second auxiliary fuel in the reactor system. A corresponding apparatus is also described herein.
