Abstract: A wheel chock system comprising at least one wheel chock for supporting a vehicle, detecting a load imparted by the vehicle, and displaying information indicative of the load imparted by the vehicle is described herein. In some embodiments, the wheel chock detects a load imparted by a vehicle with a load sensor and displays the load. The wheel chock may be in communication with other wheel chocks supporting the vehicle. The wheel chocks may display the loads detected by all wheel chocks and may determine and display a load distribution across all wheel chocks.

Abstract: A system and method for connecting a removable counterweight system to a crane including a lower assembly adapted to be connected to the counterweight system, an upper assembly adapted to be mounted to the crane, and a latch block assembly mounted to the upper assembly. The latch block assembly includes a plurality of blocks cooperating together to form a central counterbore for receiving a stud therein. The blocks are mounted within the upper assembly by at least one axle to allow for rotation of the blocks. A distal end of the stud is removably connected to the latch block assembly to attach the counterweight system to the crane.

Abstract: A step for an elevating platform, the step including a top flange, a bottom flange, and a transition; the step configured to insert into a cutout in the platform sidewall. The bottom flange is configured to contact an outer surface of the platform sidewall when the top flange contacts an inner surface of the sidewall, thereby placing all of the contact areas between the step and the platform under compression when force is applied to the step.

Abstract: An insulated joystick for use in an insulated environment, such as on an insulated aerial device. The insulated joystick includes an inner assembly segment, a mobile sensor, and an outer protective segment. The inner assembly segment presents a sensor void and is formed of a dielectric material. The mobile sensor is disposed at least partially within the sensor void. The mobile sensor is configured to detect a movement of the insulated joystick by a user. The outer protective segment disposed at least partially around the inner assembly segment and is formed of a dielectric material.

Abstract: A horizontally articulating platform arm is described. The horizontally articulating platform arm includes a horizontally articulating arm and a rotation limiter. A proximal end of the horizontally articulating arm is configured to be pivotably secured to a boom assembly, and a distal end of the horizontally articulating arm is configured to be pivotably secured to a utility platform assembly. The horizontally articulating arm is configured to be emplaced in an aligned configuration. A first angle is deviated from the aligned configuration between the proximal end and the boom assembly, and a second angle is deviated from the aligned configured between the distal end and the utility platform assembly. The rotation limiter assembly is configured to mechanically prevent a summation of the first angle and the second angle from exceeding a maximum total angle, which may be associated with the utility platform assembly striking the boom assembly or other components.

Abstract: A joystick assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the joystick controls a boom and aids in insulating a user from potential electric shock. Handle utilized by the operator may be made of, or at least one surface coated or covered in, material highly-resistant to electric current. The highly-resistant material may also extend to other components such as, a connecting rod, and a mounting base. The highly-resistant components may separate the operator from electrically charged components. As well as separating the operator from potentially electrically charged components, the rod may be received at the base by force measuring sensors, or strain measuring sensors may be attached to the rod. This allows the handle and rod to be stationary and, in embodiments, rigid, and only the applied force to be measured, thus decreasing the number of components needed in the assembly.

Abstract: A mobile scanner includes a base, an articulating boom assembly, a scanning assembly, and a boom-power system. The articulating boom assembly includes a proximal vertical boom section pivotably secured to the base; a distal vertical boom section; and an intermediate horizontal boom section disposed between the proximal vertical boom section and the proximal vertical boom section. The articulating boom assembly forms a general inverted U-shape when in a deployed position, so as to present an opening therethrough for the passing of an object to be scanned. The scanning assembly is disposed at least in part on the distal vertical boom section for scanning the object in the opening. The boom-power system is configured to place the articulating boom assembly into the deployed position. The articulating boom assembly is configured to remain in the deployed position without the boom-power system keeping the articulating boom assembly in the deployed position.
