摘要: A server system receives a visual query and information about the current location of the querying device. The server system sends the query and location information to a visual query search system and receives one or more search results in accordance with the visual query and the location information. From the one or more search results, the server system identifies an entity in the visual query. The server system further identifies a client-side action corresponding to the identified entity and creates an actionable search result element configured to launch the client-side action. For example, if the identified entity were a restaurant the actionable search result elements could include buttons to initiate a telephone call, to read reviews, to map the address, or to make a reservation. If the actionable search result is selected, the client system launches the client-side action in an application distinct from the visual query client application.

摘要: The present application discloses devices and methods for providing entry into and enabling interaction with a visual representation of an environment. In some implementations, a method is disclosed that includes obtaining an estimated global pose of a device in an environment. The method further includes providing on the device a user-interface including a visual representation of the environment that corresponds to the estimated global pose. The method still further includes receiving first data indicating an object in the visual representation, receiving second data indicating an action relating to the object, and applying the action in the visual representation. In other implementations, a head-mounted device is disclosed that includes a processor and data storage including logic executable by the processor to carry out the method described above.

摘要: Aspects of the invention pertain to identifying whether or not an image from a user's device is of a place. Before undertaking time and resource consuming analysis of an image using specialized image analysis modules, pre-filtering classification is conducted based on image data and metadata associated with the image. The metadata may include geolocation information. One classification procedure analyzes the metadata to perform a high level determination as to whether the image is of a place. If the results indicate that it is of a place, then a further classification procedure may be performed, where the image information is analyzed, with or without the metadata. This process may be done concurrently with a place match filtering procedure. The results of the further classification will either find a match with a given place or not. The output is a place match either with or without geolocation information.

摘要: The present application discloses systems and methods for querying an image database. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed that includes maintaining in data storage a plurality of images and a plurality of geo-feature identifiers, where each image is associated with at least one geo-feature identifier that indicates at least one geographic cell in which the image was recorded and a visual feature of the image. The method further includes receiving a query image and an indication of a requested geographic location, determining at least one target geographic cell corresponding to the requested geographic location, and identifying at least one target visual feature within the query image. The method further includes determining at least one requested geo-feature identifier based on the at least one target geographic cell and the at least one target visual feature and selecting one or more images based on the at least one requested geo-feature identifier.

摘要: A method and apparatus for enabling virtual tags is described. The method may include receiving a first digital image data and virtual tag data to be associated with a real-world object in the first digital image data, wherein the first digital image data is captured by a first mobile device, and the virtual tag data includes metadata received from a user of the first mobile device. The method may also include generating a first digital signature from the first digital image data that describes the real-world object, and in response to the generation, inserting in substantially real-time the first digital signature into a searchable index of digital images. The method may also include storing, in a tag database, the virtual tag data and an association between the virtual tag data and the first digital signature inserted into the index of digital images.

摘要: A system and method for relocating running applications to topologically remotely located computing systems are provided. With the system and method, when an application is to be relocated, the application data is copied to a storage system of a topologically remotely located computing system which is outside the storage area network or cluster of the original computing system. In addition, a stateful checkpoint of the application is generated and copied to the topologically remotely located computing system. The copying of application data and checkpoint metadata may be performed using a peer-to-peer remote copy operation, for example. The application data and checkpoint metadata may further be copied to an instant copy, or flash copy, storage medium in order to generate a copy of checkpoint metadata for a recovery time point for the application.

摘要: A system for controlling I/O transfers includes a host system or initiator including an adapter driver layer; and a storage controller. The storage controller includes a priority store and an operation queue. The adapter driver is selectively responsive to a datapath command from an initiator application for setting a default I/O priority for a specified logical unit, for storing the default I/O priority for the logical unit to a priority store of the storage controller, and selectively responsive to a data transfer command from an initiator application for storing the data transfer command to the storage controller. The storage controller is responsive to the datapath command for storing the I/O priority default value for the logical unit to the priority store; and responsive to the data transfer command with respect to the logical unit for queuing the data transfer command for execution based on the I/O priority default value.
