摘要： A stump pulling apparatus comprises a frame, a pair of arms, a pair of stump-engaging wheels, and a drawbar. The pair of arms are pivotally mounted to the frame. The pair of stump-engaging wheels are each rotatably mounted on the pair of arms at a rear end of the corresponding one of the pair of arms. The drawbar includes a front segment, configured to engage the vehicle for towing the stump pulling apparatus and slidably coupled to the rear segment, a rear segment coupled to each of the pair of arms, and a displacement cylinder coupled to and intermediately disposed between the front segment and the rear segment. When the front segment of the drawbar is pulled forward, the displacement cylinder provides a forwardly-acting force on the rear segment, which pivots the pair of arms toward each other, thereby forcibly bringing the stump-engaging wheels together.

The pocket includes a pocket body defining opposing wheel and exterior faces, opposing planar leading and trailing edges, a tooth receiving slot, a counter sunk bore, and a threaded bore. The tooth receiving slot is linearly formed in the wheel face and extends between the planar leading edge and the planar trailing edge. The counter sunk bore extends between the exterior face and the wheel face and has an enlarged diameter adjacent to the exterior face. The threaded bore extends between the exterior face and the wheel face. In particular, the bores are located on either side of the tooth receiving slot and equidistant between the planar leading and trailing edges. In this regard, the pocket is symmetric with respect to a line bisecting the bores.

摘要： A vegetation harvesting/clearing device consists of an assembly including a pair of hinged jaws and an open noose of cable, all of which is mounted on a load-lifting device of a prime mover such as a farm tractor. The open jaws are deployed to cause a patch of vegetation to be enclosed by the open noose. The jaws are closed around the vegetation, whereupon the noose is tightened to garrote the vegetation in a swath. The load lifting device raises the closed jaws to uproot the vegetation and to remove the swath of uprooted material to a disposal site where the swath is deposited.
