    摘要: A contact hazard meter used to measure electromagnetic field induced currents which would flow through a human body to ground upon physical contact with an item carrying such field induced currents includes a conductive contact, a human equivalent circuit coupled to the conductive contact and an electronic circuit coupled to the human equivalent circuit for measuring and displaying a measurement of current flowing from the item and through the human equivalent circuit when the conductive contact is placed in physical contact with the item carrying the field induced currents. The human equivalent circuit approximates the impedance of the human body at varying frequencies. The contact hazard meter has a plurality of range settings, one setting providing the resultant current as a percentage of a safety guideline maximum permissible exposure value.

    摘要: A microwave hazard alarm that indicates the presence of microwave radiation from microwave ovens or other transmitting sources by means of a light indicator. The alarm comprises a handheld microwave receiver including an antenna, a detector, a battery powered amplifier, a light emitting diode and a unique circuit connecting the components on a small printed circuit board. The indicating light emitting diode (LED) blinks on and off periodically when the detected microwave power level is safe and below a predetermined power level. At greater power levels the LED stops blinking and glows continuously.

    摘要: A radiant energy integrating meter having one or more parallel connected reversed biased radiant energy sensor cells connected to an integrating circuit having an integrating capacitor. A trigger circuit having a differential amplifier, connected to the integrating capacitor, which drives a further amplifier, is adapted to close a first switch such as a silicon controlled rectifier in response to a predetermined integrated sensor current. A counter circuit is coupled to the first switch and advances by one each time the first switch is closed. A second switch such as a relay is coupled to the first switch to provide a discharge path for the integrating capacitor. Finally, a delay circuit is coupled across the first switch to open the first switch after a predetermined time delay.

    摘要: A microwave radiation hazard detector in which CW radiation is detected and converted into a DC voltage whose level is a function of the radiation level. This signal''s level is compared with an adjustable level of a DC voltage by a comparator to which the signals are DC coupled. Only when the level of the former exceeds the adjustable level is an alarm-indication output provided by the comparator. This output is used to activate a tone producing unit, lamps or any other indicator which is used to indicate to personnel the fact that they are exposed to radiation above a safe level.

    摘要: Miniaturized dosimeter apparatus monitors the field density of radiated pulsed electromagnetic energy. An elongate cylindrical coil is used as a pickup and is positioned so that one-half of the coil protrudes from a small metallic case for the apparatus, providing uniform response substantially over a spherical angle of at least 180*. Means is interconnected with the coil for producing a periodic waveform having an average magnitude varying as a function of the field density of the radiated energy and having a period inversely proportional to the pulse repetition frequency of the energy. Means is responsive to this periodic waveform for providing a readily perceptible indication of the average magnitude of the periodic waveform whereby the field density of the radiated energy, and thereby the relative human thermogenic dosage thereof, is readily monitored.
