    摘要: The embodiment of the invention disclosed herein is directed to an electronic musical instrument of the keyboard type used to electronically reproduce piano sounds. The circuit has means to vary the amplitude of the piano voice in response to the velocity of the downward movement of the key. Means are provided for producing a fundamental square wave frequency and the second and fourth harmonics thereof, in response to the actuation of a given key on the keyboard. One circuit arrangement includes means for combining the fundamental frequency and the second and fourth harmonics in a predetermined time relation to produce the zero, attack, peak, and decay characteristics of a piano voice as actually produced by a piano string. Amplitude limiting means are coupled to the circuit for controlling the amplitude of the harmonics in response to predetermined values so that mixing of the fundamental frequency and the second and fourth harmonics along predetermined points of the piano voice characteristics curve will more accurately reproduce electronically the sounds of a piano. Another circuit arrangement provides means for rapid recovery of the piano circuit so that the keys can be actuated in rapid succession.

    摘要: In an electronic musical instrument, a sustain keyer circuit comprises a field effect transistor, a resistor and a keyoperated switch all connected in series between a ground a power line. An input tone signal supplied to the gate of the FET is keyed to appear at the drain thereof. A capacitor is connected across the key-operated switch. Between the capacitor and the ground is connected another FET which is switched on and off by a rectangular wave having a supra-audible frequency and a variable duty factor thereby exhibiting a variable average resistance, determining a sustain time in cooperation with the capacitor.

    摘要: The keying networks between continuously running square wave tone signal sources and the sound output system of an electronic organ each consist of an isolating diode gate for each source, followed by the parallel combination of at least two keying diode gates of simplified circuitry which either gate-through the square wave signal without change in wave shape (for odd-orderharmonic tones) or gate-through and modify the wave-shape into sawtooths (for full harmonic tones). A keyed activating circuit for the isolating diode gate and the keying diode gates corresponding to a selected key may contain a single key switch connected to a source of direct current and a common R-C attack network for two adjacent footage keying diode gates as well as for the paralleled keying diode gates. A common coupler switch for coupling between keyboards is located between the direct current source and auxiliary key switches ganged respectively to the main key switches for a given manual, the auxiliary key switches being connected to a diode to isolate them from the main key switches in the coupled keyboard.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for producing a variable signal which utilizes a transistor, a capacitor connected between the base and the collector electrodes of the transistor, a first resistor connected in series with a switching means which are jointly connected between a first source of control potential and the base electrode, a second source of control potential connected via a second resistor to the base electrode, and means for developing an output signal at the collector electrode. By this circuit, when the switch means is closed, the rate of onset or attack of the output signal is linear, and when the switching means is opened, the rate of decay of the output signal is exponential.
