摘要： A fuel assembly has a plurality of fuel rods arranged and held in parallel with one another in the cells of spacer assemblies arranged at suitable intervals. During the assemblying and transportation of the fuel assembly, flexible sleeves are inserted in respective cells such as to separate the fuel rods from parts provided on the walls of the cells, thereby protecting the fuel rod surfaces against any damage and scratch which may otherwise be caused due to interference between the fuel rod surface and the parts provided on the walls of the cell.

摘要： A combination support and guide tool and a method for the installation of rectangular, flat ceiling panels or the like by a single person onto regularly spaced, parallel structural members of a building such as ceiling joists, the tool comprising an elongated rigid support plate and a guide plate which is connected at the leading edge of the support plate and forms a critical acute angle of panel insertion adapted to easily and safely slide the panel into place. The method comprises the use of such a support and guide tool to positively receive and guide both initial panels and subsequent panels into their required positions on the ceiling joists or similar structural members.

摘要： An apparatus for applying an end plug to a nuclear fuel rod tube end includes a stationary base, a support carriage and a track assembly mounting the support carriage on the base for reciprocal movement relative to the base. The apparatus also includes a plugger guide supported on the carriage for movement therewith. The plugger guide has an elongated central bore with one end for receiving the end plug and an opposite end for receiving the tube end. The plugger guide contains a plurality of sets of bearings in spaced axial positions along the bore which adapts it to guide the tube end toward the end plug for application of the end plug into the tube end as the carriage is moved.

摘要： A thread cover is attached to the terminal end of a threaded shaft in a releasable manner. The thread cover includes a main body having a magnet at one end thereof and a plurality of flexible arms affixed to the opposed end thereof. The main body is magnetically attached to the threaded shaft end, and the flexible arms are arranged to be adjacent to and cover the main body as well as the threads of the shaft end. When the threaded end of the shaft is extended through a seal means, the arms prevent the threads of the shaft from engaging and damaging the interior of the seal means. After the threaded end of the shaft has been telescopingly extended through the seal means, the thread cover is easily removed from the shaft end.

摘要： A process and an apparatus for accurately locating and aligning dies on base plates is disclosed. 摘要： The mounting member portion carrying the light source in an optical encoder assembly is properly centered on a motor casing with respect to the motor shaft by a centering fixture in the form of a disc-shaped element. This disc-shaped element has a central bore of diameter corresponding to the diameter of the motor shaft and an annular peripheral downwardly depending lip at a precise radial distance from the geometrical center of its bore. This radial distance corresponds precisely to the radial distance between the geometrical center of the mounting member and its circular periphery such that the disc-shaped element can overlie the mounting member with its lip engaged about the circular periphery of the mounting member and its central bore receiving the motor shaft. The geometry is such that the mounting member is necessarily held in a precise concentric relationship with respect to the motor shaft by means of the centering fixture in the form of the disc-shaped element. The mounting member can then be secured to the motor casing itself and thereafter the centering fixture removed and the remaining components assembled.
