    摘要: A manual marine winch includes a safety loading handle and integrated locking dog release. The winch includes a handle for selectively tensioning and selectively releasing tension on winch; a tensioning ratchet gear coupled to the drum assembly for selectively tensioning the winch; a tensioning ratchet pawl mounted on the handle and selectively engaged with the tensioning ratchet gear for tensioning of the winch; at least one tension holding ratchet gear coupled to the drum assembly for holding tension on the winch; at least one locking dog pawl selectively engaged with each tension holding ratchet gear to hold tension on the winch; and a knockout member carried on the handle and configured to selectively disengage the locking dog pawls from the tension holding ratchet gears to allow for release of tension on the winch.

    摘要: An elevator with a brake device may be configured to provide a variable brake force, from a minimum brake force up to a maximum brake force (Vmax). The brake device may include a first energy store that provides the maximum brake force and a second energy store that provides an adjustable counterforce. The adjustable counterforce may be directed in an opposed manner with respect to the maximum brake force provided from the first energy store. Further, the variable brake force may amount to a difference between the maximum brake force and the adjustable counterforce. In some cases, the first energy store may comprise a compression spring for providing the maximum brake force.

    摘要: A relocating apparatus having a pivot connector for removably pivotally connecting the apparatus to a mast of a sailing vessel. The relocating apparatus also includes a telescoping sleeve assembly which supports a cable which can be connected to a load such as a dinghy. The cable is retracted about a drum which is rotated by a winch handle inserted in the relocating apparatus causing the dinghy to be raised. The relocating apparatus is swung about the pivot connecter to place the dinghy into position near a deck edge of the vessel. The telescoping sleeve assembly is then retracted or extended as desired by inserting the winch handle in a second socket and rotating the winch handle in the desired direction. After the dinghy has been located above the desired position, the cable is extended by inserting the winch handle in the proper socket and rotating the handle.

    摘要: A safety device for preventing injuries to a worker as a result of a fall includes a housing which is intended to be supported at an elevated position where the worker is working and a cable which is adapted to be connected to a harness or belt worn by the worker. The housing includes a spring driven drum therein which normally keeps the cable wound thereon but which allows the same to be withdrawn slowly from the housing as more cable is needed by the worker. A centrifugally operated brake senses an initial quick withdrawal of the cable from the housing which results from the worker falling and stops further withdrawal therefrom to thereby prevent the worker from falling further. A hand operated winch mechanism carried by the housing allows a fellow worker to raise the fallen worker to safety.

    摘要: A winch operated by a manual crank and handle for reeling-up or out a belt or rope and including a holding catch for preventing reeling-out when the handle is not actuated. A friction coupling mechanism is momentarily released when the handle is moved in the reeling-out direction, resulting in that the load is moved downwardly and actuates a screw mechanism which momentarily locks the coupling if the handle is stopped. Reeling-out is thus effected by releasing and locking actions following each other at very small intervals, the reeling-out movement being practically synchronous with the movement of the handle until it is stopped.
