摘要: The present invention relates to an antimicrobial polymer coating composition comprising: a urethane acrylate-based oligomer or polymer having a molar ratio of a urethane functional group to a (meth)acrylate-based functional group of 1 to 10; a photosensitizer; and a photoinitiator; an antimicrobial polymer film comprising a cured product of the antimicrobial polymer coating composition; and an antimicrobial polymer film comprising a predetermined urethane acrylate-based polymer resin; and a photosensitizer dispersed in the polymer resin, wherein the polymer film has oxygen permeability of 5 to 100 cc/m2 day.

摘要: Techniques regarding a star polymer with light-activated enhanced antimicrobial functionality are provided. For example, a polymer is provided that can comprise a plurality of non-degradable copolymer arms comprising respective first ends and respective second ends. The respective first ends can be crosslinked to form a vinyl polymer core and the respective second ends can have antimicrobial functionality. Further, the polymer can comprise a singlet oxygen generator loaded within the vinyl polymer core. The singlet oxygen generator can generate a singlet oxygen species in response to light.

The wipe includes at least one nonwoven layer, at least one pulp layer, and a cationic additive. The at least one nonwoven layer and the at least one pulp layer may be hydroentangled to form a hydroentangled nonwoven fabric having a first surface and a second surface. Additionally, the cationic additive may be disposed on at least one of the first surface or the second surface.

摘要: Wearable articles, such as adhesive tapes, for prevention of tick and other pest bites includes flexible substrates having first and second opposite sides. The first side includes an adhesive configured to adhere the article to a user's skin, while the second side includes an attractant site configured to attract the pest, and a trap site configured to trap the pest. Methods for making an adhesive tape for the prevention of tick bites include providing such a substrate, placing a skin adhesive on one surface, and placing a chemoattractant and tick or insect adhesive on the second surface.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing an antimicrobial fabric or yarn, said method comprising the steps of immersing a fabric or yarn in an aqueous solution of a metal salt while simultaneously subjecting said solution to ultrasonic radiation; and removing the fabric or yarn from said solution and subsequently converting the metal salt in situ in the fabric or yarn into metal oxide nanoparticles, preferably via chemical and heat treatment. Fabrics and yarns obtained or obtainable by such method are also provided. In a further aspect the invention provides an apparatus for performing such method.

摘要: Coated seeds and methods for reducing seed dust and increasing seed flowability are disclosed. The coated seeds include a seed and a coating composition. The coating composition includes a binder comprising an ethylene copolymer and a lubricant comprising a wax composition. In some embodiments, the ethylene copolymer includes an ethylene monomer and at least one comonomer. The comonomer is selected from acrylic acid, acetic acid, derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof. In some embodiments, the wax comprises a Fischer-Tropsch wax, a carnauba wax, a polyethylene wax, a soy wax, a paraffin wax, a scale wax, a slack wax, or a mixture thereof.
