摘要: A device for producing a bound book block including a lining strip or a cover includes a pressing station configured to move the lining strip or the cover in a pressing direction from a position from which the lining strip or the cover is gluable to a spine of the book block and to press the lining strip or the cover against the spine of the book block. A lining supply and a cover supply are each disposed upstream of the pressing station. A linearly movable common transport means is connected to the pressing station and configured to selectively, successively transfer the lining strip or the cover into the pressing station in a conveying direction and to convey the lining strip or the cover in the pressing station relative to the book block into a second position.

摘要: There is provided a sheet processing apparatus with improved visibility of a sheet bundle discharged without post-processing thereto. The CPU circuit receives the conveyed sheet, drives and controls the sheet-returning paddle, the rack part, the rear end regulation part, the alignment plate and the like and forms sheet bundle comprising of a plural number of sheets as received. Further, the CPU circuit drives and controls the alignment plate when discharging the sheet bundle S from the processing tray, the sheet bundle S exceeding the number of sheets which can be post-processed by the stapler. Therefore, the sheet bundle S which includes sheets equal to the allowable number of sheets for post-processing of the sheet processing unit is discharged to the second discharge position which is different from the first discharge position.

摘要: A sheet binding processing apparatus for avoiding the residual of binding member is provided. The sheet binding processing apparatus comprises a sheet insertion port through which a sheet bundle formed of a plurality of sheets S is inserted, a movable stapler for binding the sheet bundle inserted through the sheet insertion port, and a manual stapling sheet sensor for detecting, at a predetermined detection time interval, existence or non-existence of the sheet bundle in the sheet insertion port. When the manual stapling sheet sensor detects the existence of the sheet bundle, the sheet binding processing apparatus gives permission to bind the sheet bundle by the movable stapler.

摘要: It, as shown in FIG. 11, is provided with a feed roller 31 that is movable, rotates the spiral coil 11 passing through punched holes 3a of the bundle of paper-sheets 3, and guides the spiral coil 11 to feed it toward a coil advance direction, a screw guide 49 at a movable and adjustable side that guides and conducts a forward end of the spiral coil 11 fed by the feed roller 31 toward the coil advance direction into the punched holes 3a thereof, and a control part that receives diameter-of-coil-setting information for setting a diameter of a coil of the spiral coil 11 and controls positions of the feed roller 31 and the screw guide 49 based on the diameter-of-coil-setting information. Such a configuration enables the feed roller 31 and the screw guide 49 to move to the guided positions of the spiral coil 11 indicated by the diameter-of-coil-setting information. Accordingly, it is possible to pass the spiral coils having the different diameters thereof through the holes of the bundle of paper-sheets stably.

摘要: A binding machine includes a body, an actuator coupled with the body, and a punch mechanism housed in the body for punching a stack of sheets upon actuation of the actuator. The punch mechanism includes a plate including a plurality of punch pins. The punch pins are configured to punch through the stack of sheets during a punch stroke, the punch stroke defining a force profile. A portion of the force profile defined from a first drop in force to a last peak force before a final decrease has no more than a 15 percent change in force relative to a normalized maximum force of the force profile.

摘要: A bookbinding apparatus which makes it possible to shorten a time period required to heat an adhesive when the power of the bookbinding apparatus is turned on again. A glue preparation section heats glue. A glue applying section applies the heated glue to a recording sheet bundle. A CPU of the bookbinding apparatus determines at the power-on of the apparatus whether or not there is a recording sheet bundle to which glue is to be applied within the apparatus. When there is no such recording sheet bundle, the glue applying section applies glue to a recording sheet bundle after the temperature of the glue has reached a first target temperature, whereas when there is such a recording sheet bundle, the glue applying section applies the glue to the recording sheet bundle after the glue temperature has reached a second target temperature lower than the first target temperature.

摘要: A helical plastic coil is used for binding a collated book having a stack of pages with aligned holes along one edge of the book where a leading end of the filament is fed into a first hole at a first end of the book and the coil is rotated about its axis such that the leading end is threaded through the holes by entering each of the holes until the coil is threaded through all of the holes. The leading end of the coil is sheared by an anvil and blade so as to define a leading apex and a leading surface inclined rearwardly from the leading apex along the filament and across the filament. The leading apex is arranged such that, as the leading end enters each of the holes in turn, the leading apex is located on the leading end of the filament at a position thereon facing away from the trailing end of the coil and spaced from the end of the hole facing the first end of the book.
