摘要： In a server for authenticating a user, an acquiring unit acquires current authentication information that is created using an arbitrary value and that is used for a current authentication process, from user. A receiving unit receives first transmission information in which next authentication information to be used for a next authentication process is hidden using the current authentication information, and second transmission information in which the arbitrary value is hidden using the next authentication information, from the user. A calculating unit calculates the next authentication information based on the first transmission information and the current authentication information, and the arbitrary value based on calculated next authentication information and the second transmission information. A determining unit determines whether to authenticate the user based on the arbitrary value and the current authentication information.

摘要： A drive apparatus improves drive efficiency while reducing device size, and a lens unit and a camera using the drive apparatus. A cam member is driven rotationally by vibration of an oscillator in the lens unit and thereby causes lenses to move forward and backward. The construction and operation of the drive apparatus supplants the need for a complicated drive mechanism using an electromagnetic motor and incumbent gears or cam rings. The simplified drive apparatus enables the device in which it is embodied to be made compact. Driving the lenses by means of a cam member minimizes energy loss due to friction, and thus sufficiently improves drive efficiency.

摘要： A highly reliable monolithic ceramic capacitor which has no structural defect, e.g. peeling, and which is not susceptible to water from the outside and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. Regarding a pair of internal electrodes facing each other with the ceramic layer therebetween, the internal electrodes are laminated while the positions thereof are displaced with respect to each other in order that a corner portion in the substantially rectangular portion of one internal electrode are located in the vicinity of, but outside the taper-shaped portion of the other internal electrode.
