Abstract: An airbag device capable of avoiding interference between a cushion and a structure at an upper part of a vehicle interior. An airbag device (100) provided in a vehicle having a prescribed structure (152) such as a rearview mirror suspended from an upper part of a vehicle interior includes a cushion (108) inflated and deployed into a bag shape to restrain an occupant of a seat from a front side, and an avoidance-shaped part (154) provided at an upper part of the cushion (108) to avoid contact between the inflated and deployed cushion (108) and the structure (152), and the avoidance-shaped part (154) is recessed downward over a range between positions at prescribed distances from the structure (152) in vehicle forward and backward directions, respectively.

Abstract: A belt retractor for a motor vehicle seat belt device, with a rotatably mounted belt reel onto which a seat belt is wound, and a belt tensioner with a drive wheel (1), which drives the belt reel in the event of an activation. A positively controlled tensioner coupling transfers the drive movement from the drive wheel (1) onto the belt reel. At least one coupling pawl (2,3) mounted on the drive wheel (1) and which is moved into and out of engagement with a toothing (20) rotationally fixed in relation to the belt reel to establish and disconnect a rotational connection of the drive wheel (1) with the belt reel. A friction ring (4) has a control arm (11) coupled with the coupling pawl (2,3), wherein in the event of an activation of the belt tensioner, the friction ring (4) performs a relative movement to the drive wheel (1) by frictional forces and, controls via the control arm (11) the movement of the coupling pawl (2,3) into engagement and disengagement with the toothing (20). The friction ring (4) and/or the coupling pawl (2,3) has a blocking contour (12), positioned such that the coupling pawl (2,3) abuts thereon after the disengaging movement out of the toothing (20) and is blocked in the direction of a repeated engagement movement into the toothing (20).

Abstract: A side airbag device 100 includes: a main bag 120, is built in a seat of a vehicle, and inflates and deploys toward a side of an occupant and a vehicle front side; an inner bag 122 which is formed in a bag shape independent of the main bag 120, and inflates and deploys on a vehicle rear side inside the main bag 120. An inflator 110 provided inside the inner bag 122 to supply gas; and a tension member 126 which spans between the vehicle front side and the vehicle rear side inside the inner bag 122 and is tensioned as the inner bag 122 inflates and deploys. The length of the inner bag 122 in the front-back direction of the vehicle at inflation is restricted by the tension member 126 to a predetermined range, and the inner bag therefore inflates in a vehicle width direction and pushes and spreads the vehicle rear side of the main bag 120 from the inside of the main bag 120 to both sides in the vehicle width direction.

Abstract: A side air bag device restraining an occupant at the early stage of the deployment. A seat back has a side support part bulging in a vehicle forward direction at a side part in a vehicle width direction. A seat frame of the seat is provided inside the seat. The side air bag device has an air bag deploying to restrain an occupant and an inflator supplying inflating gas. A side frame part of the seat frame is inside the side support part, and the side air bag device is on an outer side of the side frame. The air bag has a main chamber deploying forward and to an outer side of the side support part and a sub-chamber deploying inside the side support part. The sub-chamber deploys further toward a forward side than a vehicle forward edge of the side frame, at least a front part of the side support part protrudes and deforms toward an occupant side.

Abstract: A curtain airbag device capable of preventing a cushion from damaging a front pillar trim or being caught by the front pillar trim upon deployed. A cushion 102 of a curtain airbag device 100 is inflated and deployed at a side wall of a vehicle interior to restrain an occupant. The curtain airbag device 100 includes: a cushion 102 having a bag shape and inflated and deployed on the vehicle front side of a passenger seat; and a first strap 148. The first strap 148 has one end 156 attached to a front pillar 104 and the other end 162 attached on the vehicle inner side of the cushion 102 in an elongate stored form. The first strap 148 moves to the vehicle inner side and is strained by inflation and deployment of the cushion 102 pushing out a front pillar trim 184 that covers the front pillar 104 to the vehicle inner side.

The outer inflating sections 160 and 162 are squashed by the inner inflating section 158 and the protrusions 124 and 126 and, as a result, the protrusions 124 and 126 are in a posture of being pulled toward a side of the inner inflating section 158.
