摘要: A disc reproducing apparatus comprises a disc holder for receiving a plurality of discs; a disc reproducing section including a turntable for mounting a disc, an optical pickup for reproducing information recorded on the disc, a pickup moving mechanism for moving the optical pickup in the radial direction of the disc; a reproducing section pivoting means for pivoting the reproducing section between a reproducing position and a non-reproducing Position; and a disc transporting means for transporting a disc inserted from the outside to the disc holder. In particular, the disc reproducing section includes a position detecting means for detecting a position of the optical pickup in the reproducing apparatus. Further, when the disc reproducing section is in its non-reproducing position, the position detecting means is adapted to detect the position of a disc which has been transported from the outside into the apparatus.

摘要: An electric power steering unit includes an electric motor that applies assisting force with respect to a rotating operation of the steering wheel. In one embodiment, the steering torque TM detected by a steering torque sensor is converted into a command current value I* for the electric motor by a controller. The controller controls the driving of the electric motor in accordance with the command current value I*. The controller can calculate a differential value of the steering torque TM. Based on the calculated differential value, the inertia compensation control amount TM′ is added to the steering torque TM, thus reducing the steering operation load of the steering wheel at the start of a steering operation. The steering speed also can be detected. The inertia compensation control amount TM′ can be decreased with an increase in detected steering speed, thus avoiding an uncomfortable steering feel due to the difference in the steering speeds.

摘要: A disk reproducing apparatus with a plurality of disks arrayed and held therein selects a desired disk for reproduction from the arrayed disks. The disk reproducing apparatus includes an insertion slot which defines an insertion executable position, a disk holding device including a plurality of disks inserted through the insertion slot by arraying the disks in a direction perpendicular to main surfaces of the disks, the disk holding device being movable in a direction of arrangement of the disks, a disk reproducing device having upper and lower surfaces opposing in the direction of arrangement of the disks, the disk reproducing device being movable in the direction of arrangement of the disks, and reproducing a disk to be reproduced at a reproduction executable position at which the upper surface faces the disk to be reproduced. When a disk is to be inserted, the disc reproducing device is placed at a position where the lower surface is positioned near to the insertion executable position in the direction of arrangement of the disks. When a disk is to be reproduced, the disk reproducing device is placed at a position where the distance of the upper surface from the insertion executable position in the direction of arrangement of the disks is smaller than its distance at the time of insertion of a disk. Thereby the reduction in size of the apparatus as a whole and a smooth execution of the reproduction operation are attained.

摘要: In a method of forming a II-VI compound semiconductor thin film on an InP substrate, a layer of III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal is first formed on the InP substrate. The desorption rate of a group V element constituting the III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal at a decomposition temperature of a native oxide layer formed on a surface of the III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal layer is lower than a desorption rate of P of the InP substrate at a decomposition temperature of a native oxide layer formed on a surface of the InP substrate. A II-VI compound semiconductor thin film layer is formed on the first III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal layer.

摘要: A confocal optical apparatus comprising a light source, a first aperture portion for passing light emitted from the light source and obtaining a point source, an objective lens for causing the light that has passed through the first aperture portion to converge on a measurement object, a second aperture portion located on a plane conjugate with the convergence surface on the measurement object, and light detectors for detecting light that has passed through the second aperture portion, wherein placing the first and second aperture portions in the same position and using them as the same aperture portion, as well as positioning the detection surfaces of the light detectors substantially on the same surfaces as the conjointly used identical aperture portions make it possible to reduce the size and weight of the apparatus, to perform three-dimensional shape measurements rapidly and accurately, and to facilitate the alignment of each portion.

摘要: This invention is intended to periodically correct the position and posture of an automatically steerable unmanned moving body according to a guiding method with the aid of dead reckoning or the like. A plurality of sets of at least two ground marks (8) are placed on the movement passage of the unmanned moving body (1) in a spaced relation along a reference passage (15) and the ground marks (8) are visually recognized by means of a television camera (6) or the like mounted on the unmanned moving body. Then, the existent position and posture of the unmanned moving body (1) are detected with reference to the results of visual recognization and thereafter the position and posture of the unmanned moving body (1) which have been calculated in accordance with the aforesaid guiding method or the like are corrected in accordance with the thus detected results.
