摘要： A pressure washer pump generally includes a pump housing that defines a cavity, an opening into the cavity and a bottom of the cavity generally opposite the opening. A valve assembly is disposed in the cavity through the opening. The valve assembly includes a cage member that contains a first valve mechanism. A plug member is received in the opening to fluidly seal the cavity of the pump housing. A compliant member is disposed between the plug member and the cage member. The cage member is disposed between the compliant member and the bottom of the cavity and spaced from the plug member.

摘要： A method for operating at least one pump in a pump assembly comprises providing a pump assembly comprising a fluid end and a power end, the fluid end in communication with a fluid source and at least one downstream destination and comprising a pump housing for a pressurizable chamber, at least one valve for controlling fluid communication with the chamber, the at least one valve defining a normal duration of allowing fluid communication with the chamber during operation of the pump assembly, providing a valve actuation guide external to the chamber, the valve actuation guide coupled to the valve and operable to assist in controlling fluid communication with the chamber, operating the pump assembly, and actuating the valve actuation guide to change an aspect of the valve duration.

摘要： A check valve includes a valve seat and a compliant member that moves to seal the check valve by contacting the valve seat. A method for priming a chromatography solvent pump includes providing the check valve in fluid communication with an outlet of the pump, drawing fluid into the pump from a fluid source, and expelling the fluid from the pump through the valve, thus wetting the check valve. Another method for priming a chromatography solvent pump includes providing the check valve in fluid communication with an inlet of the pump, drawing fluid through the valve into the pump, and expelling the fluid from the pump.

摘要： A pump assembly with valve-seat interface architecture configured to extend the life of pump components and the assembly. A valve of the pump assembly is equipped with a conformable valve insert that is configured with a circumferential component having the capacity to reduce the radial strain of its own deformation upon its striking of a valve seat at the interface within the pump assembly. The circumferential component may include a concave surface about the insert, a rounded abutment at the strike surface of the insert, or a core mechanism within the insert that is of greater energy absorbing character than surrounding material of the insert. Additionally, the valve seat itself may be configured for more even wear over time and equipped with a conformable seat insert to reduce wear on the valve insert.

摘要： A cylinder block assembly for a reciprocating pump includes a block body having a piston chamber that receives a piston of the reciprocating pump. The cylinder block assembly has an outlet valve assembly positioned within the block body that is positioned in fluid communication with the piston chamber. An outlet valve retainer retains the outlet valve relative to the piston chamber. The cylinder block assembly includes an inlet valve assembly extending through a side of the block body to the piston chamber. An inlet valve retainer also retains the inlet valve assembly relative to the piston chamber. A discharge passage extends from the outlet valve assembly to another side of the block body. A portion of the discharge passage extends between the inlet valve assembly and the inlet valve retainer.

摘要： An apparatus and method to assemble and disassemble a valve cover locking screw assembly for a reciprocating pump module block. The module block has a bore, a removable valve cover closing the bore, and a valve cover locking ring securable to the block and surrounding the bore with internal threads. A valve cover locking screw has cylindrical walls with external threads, a closed top, and an open bottom. A plurality of threaded bolts engage a plurality of threaded openings through the cylindrical walls of the locking screw so that the bolts force the valve cover against the module block thereby creating a fluid tight seal.

摘要： A valve apparatus that has a longitudinal axis therethrough comprises a valve seat member, a valve closure member, a fluid flow path, and a screening member. The valve seat member comprises a hollow bore and a first frustoconical contact surface. The valve closure member comprises a body and a second frustoconical contact surface that is adapted to seal against the first frustoconical contact surface. The valve closure member is movable along the longitudinal axis of the valve apparatus. The fluid flow path extends through the bore of the valve seat member and between the valve seat member and the valve closure member. This fluid flow path is closed when the second frustoconical contact surface is sealed against the first frustoconical contact surface. The screening member is attached to at least one of the valve closure member or the valve seat member, and screens particles from fluid passing through the fluid flow path when the valve closure member approaches the valve seat member.
