    摘要: A mobile device is described. The mobile device includes an acoustic transducer that projects sound in a first direction and a second direction. A housing includes a cavity. The acoustic transducer is positioned in the housing to project sound in the first direction through an aperture in the housing. The transducer also projects sound in the second direction within the cavity. A first port is acoustically coupled to the cavity and acoustically isolated from the aperture. The sound projected in the second direction is emitted through the first port. A membrane covers the aperture and the first port. The membrane receives sound from the aperture and the first port and radiates the sound away from the housing.

    摘要: A ceiling-mounted loudspeaker includes a horn-shaped enclosure, an acoustic driver, and a front module. The tubular or horn-shaped enclosure carries a slanted woofer or loudspeaker driver which radiates into an angled or slanted first opening. The tubular enclosure terminates at bottom in a second, circular opening substantially parallel to a second plane, wherein the woofer's slanted plane is inclined with respect to the second plane. The slanted woofer can be oval and radiates sound through the enclosure's interior lumen and outwardly through ports defined in a substantially circular baffle carrying the front module and connected to the second opening. The baffle carries a midrange and tweeter near the ceiling where they can provide enhanced sound dispersion.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to a handheld electronic device. The device comprises a case and an audio transducer. The case has a housing, a cover, an indentation, a first opening and an audio transducer. The housing has a housing surface. The cover has a cover surface with at least a portion of the cover surface being disposed adjacent at least a portion of the housing surface; an elongated channel formed therein opposite the cover surface; an insert; and a lens disposed adjacent to the insert. The indentation is formed in at least one of the housing adjacent the housing surface and the cover adjacent the cover surface and the indentation is disposed between and forms a cavity in the case between at least a portion of the housing adjacent the housing surface and at least a portion of the cover adjacent the cover surface. The cavity is elongated along at least a first axis. The first opening is formed in the case and provides fluid communication between the cavity and the channel and being located along a first axis. The audio transducer is disposed on the housing and is in fluid communication with the cavity where the audio transducer is spaced from the first opening along the first axis. In the device, the indentation and the first opening are formed in the insert; and the channel is disposed between the insert and the lens.

    摘要: A loudspeaker system designed to minimize the enclosure to fit in furniture and exceed high end fidelity sound found in larger and more complex systems. The system presented herein incorporates a sealed enclosure utilizing two small diameter audio drivers, 3″ or larger depending on application, and a passive radiator, ported into a bass chamber with a tuned port. The two drivers are wired 180 degrees out of phase, aligned on the central axis, but facing opposite directions, resulting in a push-pull alignment. With the sealing of the enclosure, the internal driver becomes a static engine that projects the image of the sound stage while reducing the mechanical excursion, allowing higher SPL levels and more accurate reproduction of all frequencies in a small enclosure.

    摘要: A loudspeaker assembly is disclosed for use in a loudspeaker system having infinite baffle topology. The assembly comprises a driver including a cone and a basket and at least one Helmholtz resonator including a chamber and a vent duct communicating with the chamber and adapted to pass through the infinite baffle. The chamber is dimensioned to provide a tuned frequency well above an operating band associated with the driver. The cross sectional area and length of the vent duct may be set to provide control over duct air noise and low frequency extension. A method of tuning a loudspeaker assembly for use in a loudspeaker system having infinite baffle topology is also disclosed.

A sound wave emanating from the transducer is conveyed via the acoustic duct portion expanding in a horn-like manner to the frontal chamber, and a sound wave emanating from the opposite side of the transducer is conveyed either to a closed space (20) or directly to the frontal chamber. The subwoofer can be adjusted without altering the external dimensions of the loudspeaker enclosure, utilising the entire volume of the loudspeaker enclosure, so that the frontal chamber is tuned by altering the size of the frontal chamber and/or the size of the aperture in the frontal chamber.
