Abstract: A vehicular airbag device capable of improving reduction of an occupant obstruction value during a diagonal collision. A vehicular airbag device opens an airbag door on an instrument panel. The outer shape of the airbag when fully deployed and expanded is line-symmetrical with respect to a center line of the opening in a vehicle left-right width direction, and a width dimension in the vehicle width direction at a position of a rear edge of the instrument panel in the vehicle longitudinal direction is greater than a width dimension in the vehicle width direction at a position of a center of the opening in the vehicle longitudinal direction which is more forward in the vehicle longitudinal direction than the rear edge position of the instrument panel.

Abstract: [Problem] To expand and deploy a hood-shaped airbag in a reliably sandwiched condition between the top of a shoulder of a seated occupant and a seatbelt in a normal set condition during a collision, and reduce injury to the occupant by a device other than an airbag such as a seatbelt or the like.
[Resolution Means] An airbag device 11 contains an airbag 12 and inflator 13 integrally covering the head 2a and a side portion of a seated occupant 2. The airbag 12 in a flat condition prior to folding has a plurality of chambers 12c demarcated in a longitudinal direction. The chamber 12c has a head protecting chamber 12ca stored in an upper portion of a backrest portion 1b of a seat 1 and a pair of side protecting chambers 12cb stored in opposing positions separated in a vehicle width direction on both left and right sides of the backrest portion 1b. At the time of expansion and deployment, the side protecting chamber 12cb expands and deploys between the seatbelt 3 and occupant 2, and thus the airbag 12 is configured such that a space S is formed between the occupant 2 and airbag 12 deployed at a position where the seatbelt 3 passes.

Abstract: An airbag device has an airbag that is wound in a rolled state, mounted in a vehicle longitudinal direction of a vehicle and deployable in a curtain-like manner in a vehicle compartment by a gas generated by an inflator in case of emergency. A cover cloth is provided so as to be wound to cover at least part of an outer circumference of the airbag extending in a longitudinal direction. The airbag includes a chest protective area to protect a chest of an occupant; a head protective area extending upward from the chest protective area to protect a head of the occupant; and a support area extending rearward from the head protective area and making contact with a head rest, which is provided on an upper portion of a back of the seat, so as to be supported by the head rest, wherein, the support area of the airbag is supported by the head rest when the vehicle collision occurs to prevent a head of an occupant who sits near a crashed side from moving rearward of the head protective area, thereby preventing the head of the occupant sitting near the crashed side from colliding with a head of a counterparty occupant who faces the occupant sitting near the crashed side in the width direction of the vehicle.

Abstract: A seat belt retractor with a belt shaft rotatably supported in a frame for winding up a seat belt. A blocking device blocks the belt shaft in the winding off direction. A control disk (1) is spring-loaded in the direction of winding up and with a cogging (2). A sensor device (3) with an inertia mass (4) and a blocking lever (5) can be deflected by deflecting the inertia mass (4), which blocks the control disk (1) upon an exceeding of a predetermined vehicle delay by deflecting the inertia mass (4) and with an engagement of the blocking lever (5) into the cogging (2) of the control disk (1) opposite the belt shaft in the direction of withdrawing the belt and controls the blocking device. A counter gear unit (6) is driven by the rotary movement of the belt shaft, and a first switching device (7) is activated by the counter gear unit (6) and blocks the control disk (1) after a first predetermined belt webbing withdrawal length (A) and frees it again after a second predetermined belt webbing intake length (B). A second switching device (8) is activated by the counter gear unit (6) and fixes the blocking lever (5) after a predetermined belt webbing intake length (C) in a non-engagement position into the cogging (2) of the control disk (1). The first switching device (7) and the second switching device (8) are activated during the belt webbing intake movement in the second predetermined belt band webbing intake length (B).
