The first beam and the second beam are mechanically coupled in a joint area, thereby forming a seam. A sealant is provided in the joint area for providing a liquid-tight joint. The panel is at least partly arranged over the first beam and the second beam such that the joint area is at least partly overlapped by the panel. An adhesive bead is solely provided on the first beam for supporting the panel on the first beam, the adhesive bead sealing a dry area between the first beam and the panel.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having at least one opening in the fixed roof, includes a stationary part for attachment to the roof. It carries at least two guide rails alongside the roof opening. At least one closure having a front and a rear side is supported by an operating mechanism guided on the guide rails. The closure is adjustable between a closed position, in which it closes the roof opening, and an open position in which it is at least partly moved out of the roof opening. The operating mechanism includes at least one first support member adjustably supporting the closure near its front side, and at least adjustable second support members adjustably supporting the closure a distance behind the front side. Each support member includes two separate drive sources to be able to adjust each support member independently in horizontal and vertical direction.

Abstract: A vehicle having a roof construction, comprises a panel fitted in an opening in the fixed roof of the vehicle, and a headliner on the interior side of the fixed roof for hiding the fixed roof and stationary frame from view. A drive system is provided for moving the display screen at least into a storage position, and into an operational position in which the display screen is visible for occupants in the vehicle. Abstract: A roof assembly for a vehicle having an opening comprises a frame having two parallel longitudinal beams connected to a transverse beam. A drive system for a panel supports and moves the panel and includes a motor attached to the transverse beam, two substantially parallel guide rails attached to the longitudinal beams, and a support mechanism movably guided in the guide rails and operatively connected to the motor. The frame and the drive system as a unit are adapted to each other such that the drive system is partly inserted into the frame between the longitudinal beams and rotated such that the motor is on the lower side of the transverse beam of the frame and the guide rails at least partly positioned on a portion of the upper side of the longitudinal beams of the frame. There is also disclosed a method of assembling the roof assembly.

Abstract: A sunshade assembly comprises a first and second movable sunshades and a drive assembly. The drive assembly comprises a first slider coupled to a first drive member through a first coupling and connected to the first sunshade, and a second slider attached to a second drive member and connected to the second sunshade. The first coupling can be uncoupled to drive the second slider while not driving the first slider. The first coupling includes a coupling member to couple and uncouple the coupling member from a counter member on the first slider by a movement of the coupling member. The coupling member of the first drive member arrives in a guide when the coupling member must be uncoupled from the counter member and is shaped to cause the movement of the coupling member when the first and second drive members move further to open or close the second sunshade.

Abstract: A roof system includes a closure panel that opens a roof opening in which it is positioned partially above a portion of a roof. An operating mechanism includes a front device having a lever for moving the front edge of the panel in a vertical direction. The lever is pivotally connected to a driving slide that has a cam partly in engagement with a stationary guide curve and is in engagement with the panel through a pin-curve assembly. A curve of the pin-curve assembly has a guiding curve extending allowing a corresponding pin to slide along it to move the front of the panel at least in vertical direction when the lever is driven by the driving slide. A locking curve extends mainly vertically when a pin is positioned in the locking curve in order to allow the driving slide to slide the panel in longitudinal direction.
