摘要: A method and system for network-based distribution of content are disclosed. The distribution of content is not only secure but also controlled. The security restricts access to content within media files during downloads as well as while stored at a server or client. In one embodiment, each media file is encrypted with a different, randomly generated key. The control over the distribution of the media file can serve to limit the subsequent distribution of media files from clients to other clients. In another embodiment, the control can permit media files to be shared on a limited number of different clients affiliated with the same user. The clients can vary with application but generally are computing devices that have memory storage. Often, the clients are personal computers or other computing devices that are capable of storing and presenting content to their users.

A client requests media information from a server so the client can create a local representation of the server's database. The client is then able to manage the media information locally. When the client selects the desired media, it requests the selection from across the network. The server then delivers the selected media.

摘要: A computer monitor hood for use in conjunction with a computer monitor having a top surface, left and right side surfaces, and a forwardly facing screen, is disclosed. The computer monitor hood comprises a top shading panel having a front edge, a rear edge, and left and right side edges. Left and right side shading panels are operatively attached to the top shading panel and are disposed in generally vertically oriented relation to the left and right side edges of the top shading panel, respectively. The left and right side shading panels each have front, rear, and bottom edges. A front-to-rear main axis extends from the front edges to the rear edges of the shading panels. When the computer monitor hood is in place on a computer monitor, the top, left and right shading panels each project forwardly from the front of the computer monitor, at the respective of the top, left side, and right side surfaces of the computer monitor, so as to shade the screen of the computer monitor. A counterweight is operatively mounted in selectively movable relation on the computer monitor hood in any one of a plurality of front-to-rear positions so as to permit the counterweight to balance the computer monitor hood at a selected position on the computer monitor. Typically, at this selected position, the computer monitor hood is positioned as far forwardly as reasonably possible and is tilted downwardly, as balanced by the counterweight, so as to provide maximum shading for the screen of the computer monitor.

摘要: A toy vehicle launcher and a toy vehicle for use therewith is disclosed. The toy vehicle launcher includes first and second spaced, generally parallel sidewalls each having an inner surface and an outer surface. A first and a second spiral retainer member are attached to the inner surfaces of the first and second sidewalls respectively. The second spiral member is opposed to the first spiral retainer member, and is generally parallel thereto throughout its length. Each of the spiral retainer members has a first end near the center of the sidewalls of the toy vehicle launcher and a second end near the periphery of the toy vehicle launcher. One of the sidewalls has an aperture therein near its center through which the toy vehicle to be launched can be placed into contact with the first and second spiral retainer members near their first ends. The toy vehicle launcher also includes a second aperture adjacent the second ends of the spiral retainer members. A drive member drives the toy vehicle along the first and second spiral retainer members from the first ends towards the second ends thereof. The toy vehicle is driven along the spiral retainer members and is ejected from the vehicle launcher through the second aperture at the second ends of the spiral retainer members.
