Abstract:
A system, pharmacy management software, and related methods of enhanced pharmaceutical operations in patient care facilities are provided. The pharmacy management software, for example, can include instructions that when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform the operations of providing instructions to pharmaceutical storage and electronic dispensing carts positioned at various patient care facilities according to patient specific prescription requirements, receiving dispensing data from each of the carts, and providing separate billing records including billing data indexed by reimbursement provider for each patient at the patient care facilities. The operations can also include consolidating the billing data by patient, by patient care facility, by remote pharmacy, and/or consolidating billing data by reimbursement provider, and submitting separate consolidated reimbursement claims electronically to each respective reimbursement provider.
Abstract:
A database is queried with on demand database query reduction A query document includes global variables selectively set off by first tags identifying a first global variable as a complete replacement variable and by second tags identifying a second global variable as a complete removal string. An agent is provided for building from the query document an expanded query by replacing any variables set off by first tags with runtime strings, setting off any unions in the query document, and selectively replacing any variables set off by second tags and removing the second tags without replacing variables set off by second tags.
Abstract:
A muscle exercise device can include a crank having an axis of rotation. A first arm can be connected to the crank so that a downward external force applied to the distal end of the first arm causes rotation of the crank. The devices of the present invention can further include a second arm to which a counterweight is connected. Optionally, an assist mechanism other than a counterweight can be used to provide upward movement of the first arm with minimal application of force by a subject. A retrofit kit can be provided for modifying an existing device such as an ergometer or road bicycle. The retrofit kit can include a counterweight and a fastener for attaching to the device to the existing device. The devices of the present invention allow for increased exercise capacity, isolation of muscle groups, and biomechanical forces which closely approximate comparable paired limb motion.
Abstract:
A method for delivering intravenous drugs to a patient comprising programming a drug delivery system, including a controller and an infusion pump, with a maintenance rate or a loading dose for a drug and causing the drug delivery system to (a) calculate a loading dose based on the maintenance rate or a maintenance rate based on the loading dose, (b) administer the loading dose of the drug to the patient to rapidly achieve a desired level of effect, and (c) administer the drug at a first maintenance rate to maintain the level of effect.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides a capacitor, comprising a solid electrode, an electrode broken into subsections with a signal bus lines connecting the subsections; and wherein the signal bus further connects the solid electrode with the electrode broken into subsections.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to closures for mating with containers having a threaded finish. The closures comprise a flange and a skirt downwardly depending therefrom. The skirt includes a deformable element formed of a different material than that of the flange and skirt and disposed on an interior surface. The deformable element inner diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the container, and accordingly deforms upon mating the closure with the container. The container threads impress threads into the deformable element to form threads on the closure. The deformable element is formed of a suitable material. The closures of the present invention provide for the use of high-speed press-on capping equipment.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a computer-implemented method, system, and program product for forecasting the availability of resources in an information technology (IT) migration. More specifically, under the present invention, an IT migration schedule is received and a future availability of a resource is forecasted from the migration schedule. The forecast period may be user-defined. In addition, under the present invention, the migration schedule received may be altered based on the forecasted resource availability.
Abstract:
Under the present invention, an IT migration and corresponding information collection are conducted in a single visit. A directory such as an electronic mail directory of an organization (i.e., for which the IT migration is being performed) is first analyzed to identify contacts (e.g., employees) for the IT migration. Then, a message is sent to each of the contacts containing instructions for the IT migration. The instructions will typically include, among other things, a schedule for performing the IT migration. Thereafter, each of the contacts is visited according to the schedule(s) with all components needed to perform the IT migration. At the single visit, the IT migration will be performed and inventory information collected for each of the contacts that are present when visited. Finally, transaction details corresponding to the IT migration and the inventory information are recorded.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a computer-implemented method, system, and program product for managing data for an IT migration. Specifically, the present invention provides a centralized/integrated system to receive and manage all data related to an IT migration. In addition, the present invention provides customized electronic views containing subsets of data that can be generated based on roles of users requesting the view. Still yet, the present invention allows data shown in an electronic view of be modified.
Abstract:
System, method and computer program product for creating, managing, and accessing an information repository including a source database and an archive database. A source database and the archive database are defined to a same schema. A user terminal presents a common user interface for accessing the source database and the archive database. A timed archive agent, an end user archive agent, and a criteria based archive agent archive source data from the source database as archive data to the archive database. A criteria based restore agent and an end user restore agent are provided to restore archive data from the archive database as source data to the source database. An integrated functions agent assembles compiled data from source data and archive data and present the compiled data to the user interface.
