    摘要: A machine tool such as a lathe for machining a workpiece having a longitudinal axis and being held at opposite axial ends by face drivers that are affixed to the spindle of a moveable headstock and securely contact the workpiece end faces with a predetermined pressure. A first servo loop is established to control the position of the headstock on the basis of detected position information and a second servo loop is established to control the movement of the head stock so that the pressure against the workpiece end faces is kept at predetermined values. The second servo loop may utilize the detected position of the headstock or it may utilize the monitored command value for purposes of judging whether modifications to the command value are necessary to provide the desired pressure values. A torque limiter also may be used to provide the desired control.

    摘要: A data transmission system for an automotive vehicle includes a plurality of control units installed on the vehicle, and a transmission line connecting the plurality of control units with each other. The transmission line comprises a pair of signal lines to which digital data signals having opposite polarities are delivered for transmission of data. Each of the plurality of control units comprises a first receiver for receiving both of the digital data signals having oppositive polarities and outputting a first difference signal indicative of a difference between the digital data signals, a second receiver for receiving one of the digital data signals and outputting a second difference signal indicative of a difference between the one of the digital data signals and a predetermined reference level set thereto, and a third receiver for receiving the other of the digital data signals and outputting a third difference signal indicative of a difference between the other of the digital data signals and a predetermined reference level set thereto. Detecting of which of the pair of signal lines is faulty, is carried out based on the first difference signal output from the first receiver, the second difference signal output from the second receiver, and the third difference signal output from the third receiver.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium is disclosed, comprising a non-magnetic support with an undercoating layer having formed thereon one or more magnetic layers. The undercoating layer contains a polyester resin or polyurethane resin having at least one polar group selected from the group consisting of --SO.sub.3 M, --OSO.sub.3 M, --COOM, and --OPO.sub.3 M.sub.2 (wherein M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, or an ammonium base, and M in different polar group or plural M's within the same polar group may be the same or different), and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of from 40.degree. C. to 80.degree. C. The magnetic layer contains a binder resin having at least one polar group selected from the same group as defined above. The recording medium has excellent adhesion between the non-magnetic support and the magnetic layer, high running durability and excellent electromagnetic characteristics.

Also, a method for producing a magnetic recording medium is disclosed which comprises the steps of kneading and dispersing a ferromagnetic powder having a pH of at least 7, at least one member selected from the group consisting of an aromatic phosphoric acid or a derivative thereof, an aromatic phosphonic acid or a derivative thereof, and an aromatic sulfonic acid or a derivative thereof, and a vinyl chloride copolymer having an epoxy group and a hydroxyl group attached to an alkyl chain group, together with a solvent; and then optionally adding at least one additive thereto, and mixing to prepare a magnetic coating; and then applying the resulting magnetic coating to a non-magnetic support; drying, calendering and then heat treating.
