    Abstract: An electrode sheet disposed in a touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided. The touch input device includes: a display module; a pressure electrode disposed under the display module; and a reference pressure electrode disposed under the display module. A distance between the pressure electrode and a reference potential layer is changed when the pressure is applied to the touch surface. A capacitance detected at the pressure electrode is changed according to the distance change. A magnitude of the pressure applied to the touch surface is calculated on the basis of a difference between a reference capacitance calculated from a capacitance detected at the reference pressure electrode and a detected capacitance calculated from the capacitance detected at the pressure electrode.

A change amount of a stress of the first elastic foam required for the first elastic foam to be compressed to half of the thickness thereof from its original state is less than the change amount of the stress of the first elastic foam required for the first elastic foam to be compressed from half of the thickness thereof to the thickness to which the first elastic foam is able to be maximally compressed.

    Abstract: A touch input device capable of detecting pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided. The touch input device includes: a display module including a display panel; a substrate which is disposed below the display module and is a reference potential layer; and one or more pressure electrodes which are formed on the display panel. The display panel includes electrodes used to drive the display panel. A drive signal Tx which is applied to the pressure electrode is simultaneously applied to one or more of the electrodes used to drive the display panel. A capacitance which is detected at the pressure electrode is changed by a distance change between the pressure electrode and the substrate due to the pressure applied to the touch surface. A magnitude of the pressure applied to the touch surface is calculated based on the detected capacitance calculated from the capacitance which is detected at the pressure electrode.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a touch input device capable of detecting a pressure and a position of a touch on a touch surface is disclosed. The touch input device includes a cover layer of glass, a display panel, and a touch sensor panel fully laminated on the display panel. The device further includes a substrate spaced apart from the display panel and separating the display panel from a circuit board and a battery for operation of the touch input device, and a pressure electrode disposed between the display panel and the substrate. Drive electrodes are formed on one side of an insulation layer, and receiving electrodes are formed on the other side of the insulation layer.
