    Abstract: A touch sensor panel according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes, in which a touch window area includes a first number of consecutive first electrodes in a first direction among the plurality of first electrodes and a second number of consecutive second electrodes in a second direction with respect to the first number of first electrodes, respectively, and a pair of a predetermined first electrode among the first electrodes included in the touch window area and a predetermined second electrode among the second electrodes do not exist in other window areas other than the touch window area.

The terminal includes a fingerprint recognition sensor configured to acquire a fingerprint image; and a controller configured to check a security request level of a fingerprint verification request when the fingerprint verification request is received, to determine an verification level depending on the security request level, and to perform fingerprint verification in a manner corresponding to the verification level by using the fingerprint image. The controller controls the fingerprint recognition sensor to acquire a fingerprint image of a first level when the security request level is less than or equal to the security request level of a previous verification request that has been completed before the fingerprint verification request, and an elapsed time from the previous verification request is within a threshold time.

The controller may be configured to detect a touch position, perhaps for example based on the touch detection signal. The controller may be configured to provide a second driving signal different from the first driving signal to the electrode pattern.

    Abstract: A pressure detection module may be provided that includes: a first electrode and a second electrode which are located on an insulation layer; and an elastic foam. The elastic foam is located between the first and the second electrodes and a reference potential layer located apart from the pressure detection module. A capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode is changed according to a relative distance change between the reference potential layer and the first and the second electrodes through a transformation of the elastic foam. A magnitude of a pressure which causes the elastic foam to be transformed is detected according to the capacitance change.

    Abstract: A smartphone may include a first cover layer and an LCD panel. A backlight unit may be located under the LCD panel. A touch sensor may sense touch in a capacitive manner. The backlight unit may include a pressure sensor and a spacer layer. The pressure sensor includes a plurality of electrodes formed in a single layer attached on the second cover layer and spaced apart from the reflective sheet. A driving signal is applied to the touch sensor and a touch position is detected by a sensing signal. A magnitude of a touch pressure is detected based on a change amount of capacitance which is output from the pressure sensor and which is changed according to a distance between the pressure sensor and an electrode located within the LCD panel. The pressure sensor is attached on the second cover layer as an integral sheet including insulation layers.
