    Abstract: A base station may select an active set of serving cells for a user equipment (UE) from a configured cell set of the UE. The base station may select a cell of the active set of serving cells to perform a primary cell (PCell) function for the UE. The base station may select the cell and transmit an indication of the selected cell to the UE in layer 1 or layer 2 signaling, or the base station may select the cell using a common rule and the UE may select the cell using the common rule. Upon determining the cell, the UE may perform the PCell function with the cell.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) reports, to a base station, UE duplex communication characteristics. The UE then communicates with the base station in accordance with the reported characteristics. The characteristics can include duplex communication modes supported by the UE. The modes can include receiving and transmitting concurrently with the base station; communicating in a first direction with the base station and concurrently communicating in an opposite direction with a second base station; communicating with the i in a first direction concurrent with the base station communicating in an opposite direction with another UE; and communicating in half duplex (HD) with the base station in HD. The UE can receive, from the base station, a command to communicate in a reported mode. In such cases, communicating, by the UE with the base station, in accordance with the reported duplex communication characteristics includes communicating with the base station in the commanded mode.

    Abstract: A base station may identify a configuration of one or more time gap periods associated with FD beam pair quality measurement. The base station may transmit, to the UE, and the UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of the configuration of the one or more time gap periods associated with FD beam pair quality measurement. The UE may perform, during the one or more time gap periods, one or more measurements of a quality of one or more FD beam pairs. Each of the one or more FD beam pairs may include an uplink beam and a downlink beam. The UE may identify at least one failed FD beam pair in the one or more FD beam pairs based on the one or more measurements of the quality of the one or more FD beam pairs and an SI measurement.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may indicate via control signaling a switching pattern for a bandwidth part (BWP) for communication between a user equipment (UE) and the base station. The switching pattern may include a set of slots associated with a full-duplex communications mode and a set of slots associated with a half-duplex communications mode. The UE and the base station may communicate in the half-duplex communications mode using the BWP, and the UE and the base station may communicate in the full-duplex communications mode using at least one of a first sub-BWP of the BWP for uplink signaling and a second sub-BWP of the BWP for downlink signaling.
