摘要： A handpiece with a removable handpiece sleeve for worktools or dental implements which are releasably insertable therein with the assistance of a collet which is rotatable through the intermediary of a drive shaft. The collet is conically configured on its exterior at the thereof facing towards the dental implement and cooperates with the end correspondingly conically configured end of a spindle sleeve facing towards the implement, and in which the contact between the two conically-configured ends facing towards the implement is produced by a spring which is inserted intermediate an annular shoulder on the spindle sleeve and a clamping sleeve, and wherein the collet is releasable through a twisting turning motion imparted to the handpiece sleeve.

摘要： A dental handpiece with a built-in electric motor for the drive of a dental treating implement which is arranged at one end of the handpiece. The implement is suppliable with a cooling medium through a cooling medium conduit in the handpiece; whereby the handpiece is detachably connectable with a current provider at its end which is distant from the implement, in which the current provider possesses electrical current supply contacts which are supplied with electrical current and which, upon the connection of the current provider with the handpiece, come into contact with current commutator or receiving contacts of the electric motor. The handpiece can be selectively supply-main or battery powered; in essence, unrestrictedly operated whereby, as a consequence of the cooling medium conduit which is fixed on the handpiece and the cooling medium supply conduit which is fixed on the at least one electrical current supply past, this automatically assures a concurrent secure and rapid separation and connection of the cooling medium conduit and cooling medium supply conduit upon the separation and connection of the handpiece and the current provider.

摘要： There is disclosed a dental handpiece which mounts a dental implement at one end thereof, drive means provided in the handpiece to operate the dental implement, a connection piece pivotally connected to an opposite end of the handpiece so as to permit relative rotation between the handpiece and the connection piece, means provided in the connection piece to enable a handpiece-supply line to be coupled therewith, a light source, and a light guide having a light-receiving end arranged to receive light from the light source and a light-emitting end arranged to direct light to a treatment region adjacent to the dental implement. In order to avoid any impediment to operation of the handpiece caused by the presence of the light guide, the light guide is arranged to extend within the handpiece and the connection piece. Further, the light guide is transversely divided into first and second guide portions in the region of the connection between the handpiece and the connection piece, and the first guide portion extends within the connection piece and terminates in the connection region between the handpiece and the connection piece, and the second guide portion extends from this connection region within the handpiece towards the implement end. To provide for transmission of light between the first and second guide portions, despite relative rotation taking place between the handpiece and the connection piece, a pair of light transmitting rings are provided, one being arranged in the connection piece to co-operate with the first guide portion and the other being arranged in the handpiece to co-operate with the second guide portion.

摘要： A dental equipment stand which includes a mounting component on which there is horizontally linearly displaceable a holder carriage for dental instruments which are removably restrained in individual holders, and is thereby supported so as to be movable sideways out of the mounting equipment. The individual holders can be moved aside in such a manner that a free space is produced below the mounting component whereby the instruments which are arranged within the individual holders no longer stand in the way of the close movement of the front side of the mounting component against the mouth of the patient. After reaching of the displaced end position of the holder carriage which, as before, remains with a portion of its length within the sliding support of the mounting component, the separate carrier which includes the adjacent located individual holders can be displaced with respect to the holder carriage and thus removed so far from the mounting component that the instruments which are located in the individual holders are no longer located ahead of the front side of the mounting component but at the side thereof so that, when desired, either suitable movement of the treatment chair or through suitable movement of the mounting component, there can be optimally reduced the distance between the front side of the mounting component and the mouth of the patient. Thereby, particularly when the mounting component is formed by a dental repository table, for example, a medication or instrument tray, it is advantageous that it is possible to optimally shorten the extent of the movements of the hands of the dentist or the assistant.

摘要： A dental treatment installation comprises a plurality of dental treatment instruments, a plurality of tools having different operating parameters and replaceably mountable in the instruments, and a main control device arranged to be supplied with the operating parameters of a selected instrument and optionally with further operating parameters, and to compute therefrom the operating point for the drive of the selected instrument and also the working data of the selected tool. The main control device includes stores which store the operating parameters of the tools under corresponding tool addresses or operating data addresses for the automatic control of the combined tool and instrument operation. A tool receiving station has receiving locations in which the tools are replaceably mounted and means is provided for transmitting automatically from said station to said main control device the tool address specific to a particular tool upon extraction of the latter from its receiving location.
